Oliver James and Eliza Bennett star in this horror from director Johannes Roberts. When a group of friends decide to go on a road trip through scenic Ireland, their journey takes a fortuitous turn as they unintentionally knock down and kill an old gypsy woman. In the woman's dying breath she places upon the group a curse that sends for a gigantic bird of prey known as a Simuroc to deliver their punishment: death, one at a time.

American tourists cursed on holiday in Ireland, Stephen Rea as the helpful cop, helpful to who tho.
Young Americans visiting Ireland for a summer reunion, first Dublin then RUVing it through deserted landscapes and unexpectedly happen upon a strange witch who puts a deadly curse on them! One by one they are falling by the wayside, while trying to find help in the middle of nowhere. It turns out the locals have also been cursed and are fighting to save their own lives! including Stephen Rea as the cop. “I can lift the curse if I can help it get you!” ensuing brawls and fisty cuffs and bloody endings 😆 general slashing to faces and shootings occur and a somewhat basic CGI monster but hey the movie is a product of its time. Hugely enjoyable nonetheless!

Oh Dear!!!
Billed as ‘The Irish Chainsaw Massacre’????Oh dear!!!! It’s cheap and silly…and coming from Ireland I was totally confused as I’d never heard of a mythical bird thing in any of our stories???If you want cheap…local-Ish…and very good…buy Dog Soldiers instead! Might be set in Scotland…but at least it’s good!
