This is a great idea to cover old, unattractive door bell boxes on the wall. Lightweight and easy to install. I painted it the wall color and it looks great.

Good quality - easy to install. Downside…cannnot paint to match the wall color due to the black mesh. Returned. The idea is for this to disappear on the wall.

We've had the same doorbell chime cover for 30 years. And the reason we kept it, is because it has a very unique design. Unlike any other I've seen. Attractive, but about a year ago, I had removed it to clean it, dropped it, and darn it, if it didn't crack. I repaired it, but the crack was still apparent. So, when I encountered this cover, and liking the design. I leaped at the chance at selecting it. It's really a lightweight wood product. Which in this case, it's a positive feature, simply because, it has made it possible to hang it onto the internal parts of the doorbell without any hardship. Using only the sawtooth hanger that was already placed on the edge side of the inside cover. No screws or nails required. Very, very easy!The doorbell chime cover is finished in a soft white smooth paint. The inside it nicely done with a black felt material, which I thought, maybe would muffle the sound of the doorbell, NOT so! The fit is good, and the cover is aesthetically pleasing. I am very pleased with this selection and would encourage others, if in the market for a doorbell chime cover, to gamble on this one!
