I did the video "Birdwatchers Rejoice!" and this review goes with it
I bought a hummingbird feeder and these binoculars thinking I would get to catch a peep at the hummingbirds feeding. I thought the cell phone attachment may be some kind of gimmick, but I'm happily surprised. First, there aren't any instructions on the cellphone attachment, but if you take a look at it, you can figure it out. The clamp holds your cellphone. The piece that looks like a magnifying glass without a lens goes over your camera lens. The binocular cover with a hole in the center goes over the part of the binoculars you look through. Hold the cellphone at a 45 degree angle, slider it over the cover so the magnifying glass thing mates up with the hole in the cover. Move it down straight and your cellphone is now attached so you can shoot video or take pictures. The coating on the lens works really well in low light and you get really good focus. I thought my cell phone's autofocus might clash with the binocular focus, but it didn't. I didn't have to change anything on the cellphone. I could use the focus on the binoculars and look at the cell phone screen to see what I was aiming at, if it was in focus, etc. These binoculars are hefty, sturdy and I will definitely be able to take some amazing shots and video of the hummingbirds with this. It's a well made product that is built to last

Great for the price, comes with a nice case, tripod stand, can't be beat.
I bought these primarily for birding. The birds are returning here in the spring and it is wonderful to watch them from afar. These adjust very easily for your eyes. I wear glasses and contact lenses and no problems whatsoever. I even was able to use them without glasses by adjusting and they work fine. The case and tripod stand included is a very nice touch. This way when looking at far away objects you can have the binoculars steady on a tripod. Really nice touch. Definitely recommend!

A lot heavier and rugged than i expected thats a good thing!
ok first off these were purchased to replace a pair from the 60's and these are awesome so crisp and clear. so easy to adjust even when wearing my glasses.. they are a lot heavier and rugged than i expected but that is a good thing.. they come with a nice case and strap. and also a device to hookup to a cellphone to take pictures (have not tried that yet),, for the price they cannot be beat..if you are looking at binoculars for bird watching/surveillance/games,or concerts get these they ROCK

optical problems
The binocular appears solid and well-made, with good accessories (pouch, phone mount), but has one flaw: substandard optics. I bought it to replace a 30-year-old Nikon which had perfect focus but recently lost alignment. When the two are compared side by side, the new one was unable to focus as sharply or as uniformly as the Nikon. The eyepiece lenses provide little leeway: as long as your pupil is perfectly centered behind the eyepiece, the center of the image is sharp, but the surrounding image less so. If the pupil moves slightly off-center, the entire image softens. In use, it is very hard to maintain such precise positioning. Edges of objects display slight fringing, which further impairs resolution. The focus knob is stiffer, and looking through the binocular seems to take a little more effort than my old Nikon..Some of the visual defects might be attributable to the roof prism (straight-line) design. Roof prisms involve optical compromises and additional processes that are not necessary in conventional porro prism (offset) binoculars. For those who might be interested before buying, Wikipedia has an excellent article on binoculars which gives a detailed description of the two prism designs.I ordered and received another make, a 12x25 compact porro prism design. I’m glad I waited before returning the first one, because an A-B comparison quickly revealed the difference. The second binocular gives very sharp images; collimation and alignment seem spot on. Looking through it somehow seems less strenuous than the first one. The image is every bit as clear as my old Nikon. It is very slightly less bright than the 12x42 unit, but the field of view is about the same. It does not come with lens caps or a phone attachment, but the optical performance more than compensates. The unit itself feels solid and precision made. For me, the shape and light weight make it easier to hold steady. Durability is unknown. The body is all plastic, but this is no longer the negative it was a decade ago. Just to be safe, I will avoid leaving it out in the hot sun or on a dashboard. The brand is Occer.

Great all purpose, bang around pair of binoculars...
I have owned lots of optics that cost way more than these, but for the price these are the perfect "bang around" pair of optics. First and foremost the lens are very clean and they provide excellent light gathering and optic clarity. The feel of the body is very good, and they are nice and comfortable in the hand. I love the weight as they are pretty light compared to my other optics. If you want a heavy pair of binoculars these are not the ones to go with. 12x42 magnification is perfect for my birding, hunting, and around the ranch usage. Eye piece cover close over the Binocular which I love because they actually stay on when covered. I love knowing I got a great pair of optics that I don't have to baby since I didn't have to break the bank for them. Also when come with a nice Velcro closure carry case with neckstrap, as well as a contraption for mounting them to your cell photo to be able to use them for photography. Couldn't be happier!

Light Weight, Perfect for Our Cruise
We purchased these for an upcoming cruise. We didn't want to get out in the Caribbean without a test run. Went to the Cape Cod Canal and did some ship watching. They work great in daylight!! They are lightweight and compact, yet well constructed. Can't wait for to try them on the cruise.

Insstructions for dummies........like me
I am very pleased with these binoculars, they are clear, light weight and perfect for watching my birds. The phone attachment does not come with any instructions. It would be helpful for dummies like me. Nice, very nice product. Dorothy
