Comfortable
My doctor suggested I go into the boot with a wedge next time if not better. I borrowed a friends boot and tried putting the 2 wedges in my boot, it was too painful. I tried one too painful.. bin ordered these because they had 4 wedges and looked more comfortable. I received them sooner than I was supposed to. I was finally able to wear just one and it is comfortable and my foot is starting to feel much better.

Effective and cheap
Got this wedge to insert in my boot for a torn Achilles when the company my dr gave me a prescription for to make a wedge couldn’t get me in for a week and was located 45 minutes away. This arrived next day and did the job until my podiatrist could cast me in the equinus position, and he said this wedge was effective and did a good job!

Does what it should
The media could not be loaded. Very hard plastic with padding on top. The wedges work great. They don't look of good quality but that shouldn't matter As The Will be out of sight when in use. They can be uncomfortable but after an Achilles surgery anything is. The purpose of This is to keep your foot in planter flection while your Achilles heals properly. Then as you go through therapy you take wedges out.Pros. Works as intendedPadding is comfyCons... Eh just the way they look and build quality.

It works
It’s not pretty but it’s hidden in the boot AND it’s more comfortable than any of the other (much more expensive) orthopedic lifts out there. The pull-off layers make it feel like you’re completing levels of a game. Would 100% buy again - hoping I never HAVE to.

I really didn't need it for my problem, so can't judge its utility for what it's made for.
Achilles' tendonitis, used in an airboot after limping around for almost a year. I quickly rejected all but the top layer of the heel-lift, which barely raises the heel at all. Two weeks in the airboot, I can exercise out and about again, swelling hasn't changed, no pain ("let your pain be your guide") whereas before I think I either ignored the pain or it gave up and quit, but I had a dream last night where it was almost cured. Somehow I'm optimistic.

Good for CAM walking boot after a torn achilles tendon injury
After being in a cast for almost 2 months after suffering an achilles tendon rupture, I bought these for the CAM walking boot I was provided at the medical office. These are sturdy, fit my boot perfectly and stayed in place. Yes, they are a bit hard, but they are supposed to be and the foot will get used to it pretty quickly. They can also be used in sneakers/shoes, but the fit would be worse.

It's okay for one day's use...
Okay, I see what they tried to do and I slow-clap their effort. This is angreat idea but the execution miss the mark. The construction is hard--no make that a VERY hard, dense foam and is held together with some very impressive double-sided tape. The top layer is a thin open-cell foam that compresses to nothing under the heel within a day or so. I had achilles surgery to reattach the tendon to my heel. The bottom of my heel was tender and that pitiful padding meant I was putting force onto a hard surface. I did mention that the foam is very hard. Besides, the top isn'ttapered right and made my plantar tendon stretch too much. I prematurely removed a level of the wedge for comfort, but that did little good. After the top foam collapsed to nothing, I tried various foam inserts to fix the problem, without adding height, but could find nothing that didn't also collapse into nothing. Even an insole failed due to the hardness and inset cut of that top level. One day's use, folks, thats all I got and it really wasn't comfortable to walk on it. Expensive cure for a day, don't you think? So, I went back to making the gauze and folded sock wedge that the surgeon showed me. I am still "folding my own" for another two weeks before I go flat and start PT. This thing is too expensive for what it doesn't do. There are other solutions--try them first.

Great!
Product is great for my husband to get back into the swing of things after his Achilles surgery. Dr. sent us a link of exactly what we needed to purchase. The stickies on the bottom are VERY sticky never had to replace them once.
