Hard to setup w/ your own modem
This was the most disappointing experience since it never was able to get an IP address from my cable modem at all when setting up. The app is very slow, the settings page is very unintuitive and slow and any changes need frequent restarts. This has been the worst experience with a wireless router in 20 years.

Network not recognized
Have trouble getting devices to recognize device. Have replaced one with a router and devices recognize router but not these devices. All devices using 2.4 network

Only updated for wifi 7.
Main thing this gives you is wifi 7 which gives you much wider spectrum for wifi 7 and much greater speed up and down. Nothing else has changed significantly.

No more Asus routers for me
Had a lot of trouble getting these to work and once I got them working after about a week the main unit stopped working which was very disappointing for me because I like asus products at least on paper the are good but this was my second asus router and my last.

Mesh node would never join the base node. For the price it shouldn’t least do that. No amount of reboots, resets, reconfifs worked. I’m a network engineer by trade, I can make a lot of janky stuff work, but not these.
