It Continues
Bardsley has brought another facet to the Broken Heart series. With each book, she explores the gifts given by the seven families of vampires. Always fresh and always interesting. Her world of vampires, shape shifters and the supernatural beings that populate it gives the genre a sense of reality missing in other offerings in this category of fiction.

Broken Heart series- still good
This is the sixth book in the Broken Heart series and, although you could read it as a stand alone, I would recommend reading the others first because the characters from those books do crop up a fair bit. This book focuses on Phoebe Allen, a woman who has lived in Broken Heart all her life. When she was turned, the vamp power that she gained was the ability to control demons. She's working as a waitress at the Old Sass cafe with Connor who claims to be a Scottish fairy. They've been flirting for the last few weeks while her 4 year old son is away visiting his Dad but of course they haven't gotten down to any hanky panky because of the whole being bound for 100 years thing. However, for various reasons of deception and lust, Phoebe finds herself bound to a half-demon and then obliged to retrieve a talisman from a demon called Lilith. The story is engaging and funny, sexy and romantic. Everything we have become used to in this series. The other characters that we know and love make appearances throughout. There are also some really good new characters like Connor's sister and Connor himself is a bit of a winner.I enjoyed reading it and I will definitely buy the next one when it comes out.

First read was great!
I had never read a book in this series so this was a great surprise! This book was hilarious! While I don't normally enjoy books written in the first person, I thought this one was very well written and really connected with this character. She was flawed, not as great as she thought she was, and basically learning along the way. Yeah, pretty much how I feel! This book had parts that were a little hard to understand if you haven't read the series, but those parts DO NOT detract from the story and I enjoyed the humor, romance (was it ever hot!), and story line. I am definately going to go back and buy the previous books in this series. I LOVE Michele's writing and sense of humor and look forward to more of her books!
