Handmade Rosewood Luxury Holder Pipes. Deluxe Holder Gift Packaging (Rosewood)

I ordered this to hold hand-rolled cannabis cigarettes so the smoke would stay away from my face and hands. Since I have a very full beard and moustache, keeping fire away from my face is important, since it would not be pleasant to have my beard catch on fire while trying to light up a cigarette. To this end, this does a decent job - it keeps the cigarette far enough away from my face so that my beard is not threatened by flame from the lighter or burning ember on the end, but just barely far enough.However, the built-in metal gizmo that is put inside the holder at the far end prevents hand rolled cigarettes to be used. The reason for that is because with the gizmo in place (which they claim is some kind of filter, but if so, it's a lousy one) allows for only about 1/8th of an inch (less than 1cm) to be placed in the holder before it is blocked.To solve this, I simply removed the gizmo by unscrewing it; this then allowed cigarettes to be inserted as much as a full inch, thereby securing them solidly enough to be safe from falling out of the holder (which is what would happen were I to try to use it with the gizmo in place). Moreover, the screw threads within the holder's tip that were there to screw the gizmo in place were now exposed. At first, this might seem to be a drawback, but it actually is a value added feature! The handrolled cigarettes tend to be on the larger diameter size, and by gently squeezing them into the end of the holder, I found that since the screw threads were there that I could "screw" the cigarette into the holder, which provided a VERY secure hold. In other words, removing the gizmo provides a method that makes this hold the cigarette better since you can then screw the cigarette in place.

I like this a lot.I also didn't buy this to use with tobacco, I have trouble keeping my moustache from burning and I would prefer it if the smell didn't stick to my hands/face (I like the smell, but not everyone does. It also draws unwanted attention).This thing is awesome! The front piece is sized for filters (I guess, I don't smoke cigs), and it *will* hold your joint/blunt, but not securely. That piece also has a choke in it, when you unscrew the cap, there is a little rod that can extend: extend for more airflow and shrink for a smaller hit.When you unscrew that top piece, you can then "screw" in your joint/blunt. I'm sure that if your cigarette doesn't fit the top piece, you could put it here as well, but the "filter" process is probably that choke in that little piece at the front, although I have doubts on the "filtering." There is a little hole in the rod, maybe you can string it with some cotton, like vape rigs?

This is well made and a good value; I’d recommend it. I used this for hand rolled numbers, and was able to make it work, quite well. What’s great is the “adaptable” nature of it: you’re able to unscrew the brass thing, allowing for a larger insertion bore. Or you can leave that in, and adjust the little baffle-thing on the inside to customize how smooth a draw you can pull. Thumbs up.

Purchased for a buddy. He uses it for hand rolled smoking with RAW tips; if you unscrew the bottom piece, the RAW tip will screw in like a bulb he says...Eureka, great gift.

This really is a very pretty little piece. The unique colour and grain of the wood is varnished and polished to a high shine, the metal work is functional simplicity and the golden colour compliments the wood. The whole is as balanced as a good knife.When you put a cigarette in, 1/8th of an inch (3mm) of the tip is inside the holder, firmly seated. If you are smoking any regular/standard width massed produced brand, then this is getting very close to perfect. Beautiful design and nicely engineered, neat, gender neutral. Way to go.But not for slims and roll ups. The sellers' are quite specific.I roll my own herbal cigarettes, with homemade cardboard tips and, being in danger of igniting my whiskers, thought cigarette holder! And it turned up this morning just after breakfast as I was rolling my first of the day. And it just about fit... well enough to smoke anyway. Tried another. Perfect!It's not that hard, though I've had 50 years of practice. But if you're a fraction of a mm out either way you gotta crimp it or pad it and you can never quite get it to sit firmly.The symmetry of tensions is broken. And 3mm is not enough seating to accomadate it given the materials. If the depth of the seating were, say 5-6mm, firmness would be re-established. From a rollers' point of view, I'd guess that the depth should be at least equal to the width, but think that might compromise the ease with which a regular cigarette slipped in. A doubling though, 5-6mm, would be a bonus for a roller and pass unnoticed by a regular.The filter gubbins takes out one helluva lot of tar, much smoother. I have to wipe it after 3 or 4 usages which is quick and easy, but suspect will be in need of some kind of soaking along the line. Also pipe cleaners.Quality product. May the creators' prosper.

und wertig, leider passt aber eine normale Filterzigarette nicht. Für mich daher unbrauchbar und geht deshalb zurück.
