PawHut 18" Heavy Duty Wrought Iron Travel Bird Cage Carrier with Handle Perch and Accessories - Black

I have 2 of these. I use them as outside cages so my conure and African grey can get some fresh air and sun. These are sturdy and great for travel or a day in the sun. Too small for a permanent cage but works perfectly for what I needed.

All parts were in the box, everything lined up and was easy to put together. Only issue was the lock on the cage, wish it would already come assembled. The pin was at the bottom of the box and was hard to find.

Likes. Size first and for most, and fairly easy to assemble. Indicated 4 doors however mine only came with 3. The mini door inside the main side door is not present. Not that I really mind, kinda seemed like a useless door. I just mention this because yours may vary slightly. Not entirely sure what the side brackets on the feeder side wall are for.Not confident that it will not just fall apart when moving around. Held together mainly by two screws at the top. Everything else is a slide in place, gravity held. Have not tried a drop test as of yet, but seems if you drop it, it will come apart like a house of cardsFeeder windows, also not really travel friendly. Windows are wide enough a bird can exit. Would prefer the typical slide up doors, which allows you to quickly remove the feeder bowls while preventing the bird easy access from escaping.Indicated about 15 lbs. In the description. It is a durable metal frame unlike a wire frame. Seems to be fairly well balanced so it does not feel like you are carrying something with weight.Be sure to screw the tray guard in. The tray will slide out during transit, and there is plenty of room for the bird to escape if this happens.I believe this to be a Good Carry cage for vet visits, or to allow your bird to sit outside, or if you are traveling.I should really rate this 3 stars. Too many things can go wrong, which will give your bird easy access of escape.

Perfect for my 30 year old African Gray. He doesn’t take well to new items (he has had the same carrier for 30 years). I purchased another smallish cube clear acrylic for toting his “spoiled rotten red butt” for play dates to his vet. After putting him into that 1 time it was the last time. This has good amount of room and the handle acts as a perch. Which when placed on the coffee table allows him to hang out for movie / tv time in the living room. It is very portable while being heavy duty.A couple of things to note I purchased a manzanita perch (from an exotic bird store) so I could lower it and allow more head room and interior space.Also love the white my suggestion to any parrot owner never shy away from buying white in 30 years he has had every color of cage as he gets one every 5 years (I just purchased him a giant macaw size and it is wonderful). This is the 2nd time I bought white after the first white I was not willing to have any other color birds are messy and dusty white is by far the best color I have ever owned. When I saw this in white AND on sale I took a chance. My mistake and something I can live with I ordered white but forgot when coming from China they list the platinum/light gray as white. If you’re looking for actual white it would be listed as pure white. I am uploading pictures to show how much space the carrier has. It’s so wonderful I would buy another today if anything happened to this.

I bought this cage for my two sun conures to be able to go outside with me and to take them with me in an RV it is very well made heavy duty my birds will be very safe in this cage and I believe they would not be able to get out on their own. It has plenty of room for two sun conures of course not for a full time cage. My favorite things are the sturdy ness not flimsy at all it has two bowls and a perch and the handle can also be used as a perch if you wrap it in something like vet wrap so it’s not slick I love that the whole front door opens and it has another small door that opens also and it’s not to big but big enough for a temporary home or an outing just to enjoy the sunshine or the vet. The things that I don’t like as much which is not a deal breaker is that the dimensions are off the diagram shows the height is 22 inches without the handle which is not true the cage is only 18 inches high with handle it’s 22 inches that is 4 inches which is a lot of space missing the bowl opening and small door uses a spring to open them and my only concern is if they break eventually and the weight is 14 lbs which is still a little heavy but with it being built so strong and sturdy you couldn’t get much less weight so that’s not really a problem. I really love this cage I am going to try adding wheels which will help move it around more easily. I would defiantly buy this cage again I asked questions about this cage on Amazon which helped me decide on buying the cage.

I looked everywhere for a travel/emergency cage for my African Grey Parrot. We live in a heavy tornados area and need to be able to put him somewhere quickly and get to our underground shelter. Obviously, we also need to be able to go to the vet and stuff too. This size allows for extended periods in an emergency. The perch on top will be handy if we ever travel with him to hotels too.The problem is the latches in the main door and the food doors are a mess. After our first use of the cage to a vet appointment, I went to open the cage to let him out at home, the door latch just fell off in my hands. The food door latches either don’t secure the door well or secure so well I can’t get it open. The bowls cannot be removed from inside the cage either.

I had a 12 hour drive with my young caique and this did a great job. It’s very sturdy so I felt she was a safe as she could be if there were an accident. It can be hooked to the seat belt. Can be loud on rough roads but I just put a towel where it was banging. Instructions for assembly were not great, but if you just use your critical thinking skills you’ll get it-or call a handy friend if needed 😁
