Vacmaster16-Gallon 6.5 Peak HP† Wet/Dry Vacuum – VJH1612PF 1101, Red

We had a 16 gallon Ridgid that worked well, but this one is SO much better. After having the other one, this one was so much easier to put together. I feel like the creators of this one looked at Ridgid and thought "what could be better?", and then they implemented it!The 12 gallon is a great size, easy to use, it's light weight, and has very good suction. The design of it is so simple. No screwing anything in like I had to do with the Ridgid shop vac. This one, the wheels slide into place, the lid clips on, and all the pieces have a home on the shop vac. Very good quality and we have been very happy with this shop vac! Will definitely buy again.

What concerned me when ordering it?1. Is it going to be super loud like my old one?Result: No! While I will wear ear muffs, it is much quieter than my prior screamer.2. Is the 2-inch hose going to be too stiff and awkward to use for vacuuming the cars?Result: While it doesn’t flap around like a shoestring it is totally ok for me. The suction is so strong (see below) that I don’t have to be precise with nozzle placement. It sucks up anything close.3. Is the large crevice nozzle going to be too large to be useful vacuuming the car?Result: The crevice tool is huge, but No Problem. I tried to use the utility nozzle or just the bare hose, but there is so much suction power that it would lift the carpet right of the car’s floor! The crevice tool has an air slit up the side to help prevent this. I ended up using only the crevice tool!4. Will the unit just quit working like a couple reviews reported?Result: Only have had it one day, but eliminated the concern by buying the extra warranty that would replace the unit or refund the money.5. Will the suction be adequate?Result: Whoaa! This thing is a powerhouse.6. Will it be too large for what I want?Result: This is much mor compact than the competition that I was able to compare fir similar features.7. I didn’t expect this concern.Result: The one negative Ii found is that the extensions and nozzles don’t separate easily. I had to use pipe wrenches $ silicone spray to separate them! I will be careful to not push them together too forcefully.8. Will my wife not like me buying a new shop vac?Result: I tested it by vacuuming her car. :-)

This vacuum really sucks! Beats anything I've used for pure suction power, better than the carwash's vacuums by far. Sucked up a fork like it wasn't even real. Hose is nice and fat, 2.5". Plenty of attachments.Unit is louder than expected, but with that much suction, I'm fine with that.I'm very satisfied.

1st day use and we love it ,very powerful, I bought it because I'm tired of the everyday vac and cloggs and countless maintenance, this shop vac is the answer to a dust free wall to wall cleaning

This has a number of nice features. It is small enough to fit under my workbench. Rollers are good sized and it has a long cord. Haven't tried it wet yet. They give you a special filter for using wet. Has several good accessories and it conveniently stores them on the vacuum. It also has a nice, compact holder for the hose. Powerful suction! (Better than my Craftsman). One design flaw cost it a star: the exhaust points out to same side as vacuum inlet instead of up or down so it can blow around the stuff you are trying to suck up. Only been using it a week so I don't know reliability yet but if it keeps on running I'll be a happy camper.

Works great has better suction than anything I've ever used

So far the most powerful vacuum I have. I mostly use it as part of a dust collection system, but it works very well for picking up anything dust to bigger objects. Strongly recommend a dust cyclone, or else the filter will get clogged.

The vacuum has alot of suction. Works great! And cleans easily.
