Great for a VERY beginner and safe enough for indoors.
My daughter took to this immediately. Fortunately I know three things about lacrosse and could teach her enough to keep her interested for hours of practice. She loves it and wants to play organized lacrosse now. Our set was just the stick and ball. Not the one with a net. We have soccer nets that work fine enough. What I don't love: Very light ball is hard to catch in the pouch. It tends to bounce away. The pocket and ball are smaller than regulation, so a 'real' ball won't ever work in this. I'm sure this is not intended to scale up, but it is a little bit disappointing. That said, the price is low, and the play value for her is excellent. Getting her interested in a new sport is also excellent and she is very fired up for spring lacrosse season. We will need a new (real) stick and ball then, so I'll be needing one for myself to practice with her, I guess. At the price, I recommend this.

Toy lacrosse stick and ball
This is not the quality of an actual lacrosse stick and ball (not that you would expect it to be at this price point), but is more of just a toy. My daughter is happy to be learning the concepts and movements of lacrosse with this. The listing does say it is 1 ball and 1 stick, but the title feels confusing "Franklin Sports Youth Lacrosse Goal & Stick Set with Goalie and Player Sticks" because it makes it sound like more than 1 stick. Just wanted to clarify. The stick is VERY light weight and the ball is like a light rubber feeling ball (not like a typical lacrosse ball). It is good enough for my daughter to run around in the backyard with, but honestly I don't expect this to last too long. I'm curious to see how much play with can get out of it in the next few months.

More than a toy, but not be too much (I just got a stick and a ball)
I'm not really sure what to say here. I'm trying to review what I bought and what I received was just one stick and one ball. My price was also $7.99, while the product it keeps bringing me to is supposed to be a whole set with two sticks and a goal that costs $14.99. Not sure why it's doing this, but all I can do is review the stick and ball. It's fine. Obviously, this is a small set designed for little kids just picking up the game. My son is 5 and the 32 size is fine for him. It's plastic so I don't expect it will really hold up under sustained punishment but it'll do for now. It's more than a toy, for sure, but not by a whole lot. It's very light and the ball is softer than a normal lacrosse ball. The bottom line is that a little kid can learn to throw and catch without fear before moving on to the real deal.I wish it had been a set though, so we could actually play catch. If I were designing the product, I'd also include more balls because they can get lost pretty easily.

Good starter kit
A basic starter set for kids 10 and under. It came with the ball and the stick and seems sturdy enough for backyard play or just trying out lacrosse equipment out of curiosity. The stick seems a little weak, but for a starter set I think it is okay. While the title says with goalie and player sticks, note that it is literally one stick.

Cute fiddlestick
This is a really cute, lightweight stick. I got this for my toddler because she kept trying to steal her big brother's real stick and this is MUCH better for her. The ball is a foam and she took a big bite out of it as soon as she got it so if you have littler athletes I would suggest a different ball but the stick is really perfect for just playing around with and getting a little introduction to the sport
