Bell South Caller ID Phone Box CI30

The Bell South - Model CI-85 Call ID w/call waiting unit arrived fast, new, and in excellent condition. 4 line display is large and easy to read. Easy to use with a neat dual display feature which allows you to see an incoming call while you are on the phone. The contrast button allowing you to tailor the brightness of the display worked well. 2 AAA batteries (not included) will backup this unit's call list in case of a power outage and also includes a battery low indicator. Owned for approx 1 month and it is an outstanding caller ID box.

I purchased this device in August 2018 and it has already stopped working. Very disappointing.

The CallerID device works just as we hoped. It was super easy to install and does exactly what the description on the website said it would do. As someone mentioned the numbers are a little small but only slightly smaller than the device we had previously. It's only been a few days but it's exactly what we wanted and thought we would get.

This unit worked well for quite a number of years, but quit working recently. Still, given the life of the product, it was a good value.The good news is that the bright red flashing LED told if someone called, even if they didn't leave a message. The bad news is that the bright red flashing LED reported every single call that came in! In other words, you have to dismiss every call, one by one, or the LED would flash forever. If you get a lot of calls per day, be prepared to press the button a lot, or tape it over with black tape.The unit also has the capability of redialing any recalled number in 7 digits, 10 digits, or "1" +10 digits. This means you can redial whether or not your district requires an area code to dial local numbers, plus long distance numbers. All in all, a good buy for phones not having a caller ID feature.

This caller ID is just as I had expected, it works fine and like it is suppose to work. The only thing I wish to add to it, is a light up display. This would help tremendously.

I am quite satisfied with this product. It is simple and quick to install, easy to use and personally I find the screen to be quite readable.

I'm very disappointed. The time-date line is 1/8 of an inch, but more importantly the number of the caller is barely a quarter of an inch.I adjusted the contrast to maximum, but of course this doesn't change the small size of the read outs. It has all the bells and whistles and misses the most important one, size of readout. No wonder the size of readout is not mentioned anywhere. Another negative factor is that it needs to be plugged in to household current.I regret buying this. It taught me a lesson to check the size of the readout, (it has a big window which makes it deceiving).,before purchasing one.
