Flymo FLY063 Metal blade 36cm for Glide Master 360 - 521949990

Towards the end of the mowing season I thought it would be a good idea to have my Flymo mower ready for the next season, so I bought a cheap Flymo compatible blade on an auction site and saved quite a bit of money. On receipt I fitted the blade and tried it out on the lawn. The mower was incredibly noisy and I thought it was going to shake itself to pieces. When I tested it the blade was way out of balance and poorly finished.Moral: buy a genuine FLYMO blade from Amazon. The difference was amazing the mower ran smoothly and the cut the grass perfectly. The old saying "buy cheap. buy twice" was perfectly true in this case, and cost only a little more than the duff blade and was delivered in no time.

As others have commented, this is not the blade pictured in the product description. It is heavier, flat and black instead of silver with tipped up ends like a plane wing. Why they haven't changed the description when previously informed I can't say but it is misrepresentation and should be stopped. If they can no longer get the old type they should make this clear.

Blade does a good job.However the removal of the old blade to install the new may not be easy. It took a lot of effort with my own tools to remove the bolt which secures the blade and spacers. The plastic tool which comes with the mower was not sufficiently robust and in danger of breaking when I tried it first. Needed plenty of easing fluid to get the bolt to move. Although it is a metal bolt in a metal housing, the head is covered in a plastic material (why?) which does not provide the best grip for tools to remove it.

It’s a metal blade for a fly-mo lawn mower. What else can you say really???It’s genuine so it’s good quality and it’s easy to fit providing you still have the tool that came with your fly-mo. It’s sharp and cuts the grass easily and whenever I get these they last ages - I’m talking years!A good replacement blade that does exactly as it’s supposed to.

This blade was to replace the damaged old one. I chose the genuine part because I wanted maximum performance and life from it.The delivery time was short and the wrapping effective, the cost was acceptable. There was a note from Flymo stating that the blade design had changed but was still compatible with my mower. The whole length of the blade is now a cutting edge rather than a few centimetres at each end.I believe there is a genuine improvement seen in the grass cutting over the previous blades. Very happy.

I used my old Fymo mower last week and almost gave up when I looked on Amazon to see if I could still purchase a new blade, two days later it arrived ...fantastic replacement much better then the original one supplied with my machine strong sturdy much wider cutting blade than before so I am delighted with my purchase its' like a new machine, cutting better than when I bought the Mower.

The blade, replacing an old and worn out one, was just right, easy to fit, and works perfectly. I can't believe the lawn mower has a new lease of life with this new blade fitted, should have done it couple of years ago as it had run really badly. Now is running perfectly and giving good service again.

Arrived quickly, genuine flymo part. Took a while to replace the old one as the retaining nut was seized solid. I eventually managed it and cut by back lawn effortlessly. Started to cut the front lawn and my mower caught fire, don't think this was the fault of the new blade.
