This is such a great plant pot. I put a cactus in it making of look like it has spiked tail. It’s well made but fragile being made of ceramic. It has good drainage hole but no plant water catcher will fit nicely under it as the hole is under the front and the space between the front and back is wide. That’s why I opted to put a cactus in it so I wouldn’t have to worry about having a water catcher underneath. Overall I still really love this design it’s so clever. It would make a great gift so thinking of getting more. Would recommend

This is a cute planter. I will be planting a small monkey tail cactus in it. Due to the small size of the opening on the top of the planter, the cactus may need to be moved to a larger planter in a year or so. For anyone considering using the planter for cacti, be sure to use well draining cactus soil. The design of the planter allows water to build up in the front paws of the cat, which could wick into your potting medium and lead overly wet soil and rot. Other plant options for a tail-like appearance are golden rat tail cactus or Sansevieria cylindrica (round snake plant). I've deducted one star because the exact same planter is available from several sellers on Amazon and at least one seller offers it for $3+ less than this seller.

Just a planter? I think not. This adorable planter reminds me of a similar ceramic kitty without a tail I had many years ago that I would use to dispense either cotton balls (you would be amazed at the number they hold if they are stuffed in the kitty) or a limited number of cotton swabs in the opening. I used this comical but useful display in the bathroom. I'm sure other items could be held by this cat, with some imagination aside from plants, real or otherwise. It is feline fun all the way. The kitty was intact without even a scratch, because of superior packaging. I was surprised to find it at my door so quickly after ordering. This would also make a purrfect gift.

Smaller than expected but cute

This is adorable and a great gift for any cat lover!It is a little small and the cactus I was going to put in it is a little too large, but I'm looking for a smaller one and using this as a pen/pencil holder in the meantime.It would also work as a vase. It's pretty sturdy - I accidentally dropped it from a standing position onto a wood floor and it was not damaged at all.
