It's easiest to put it in your shoe and then your foot. But it's a great brace! It doesn't take up much room and I can wear a shoe other than a sneaker. But wear a sock so the long stem doesn't rub on your leg. Otherwise, I like this one better than the custom one that the doctor ordered.

Very functional and allowed me to walk better than the one from the hospital. Would like a little more ankle support, but otherwise good AFO for foot drop.

Sturdy and as pictured. Sole plate reaches to the front of the ball of the foot (short of the toes). I got the large size, my shoe size is 10 and they fit well but I think I should go to a size 10.5 shoe to provide more room for the toes and width of my foot. I put the brace under the insole and there is really not room for that. It bunches up.

This brace does not even begin to help. The strap around the calf (which the instructions call the 'thigh') is sized to go around a forearm, not a calf. The lack of any other securement (around the ankle especially) make this brace nothing but a decoration. Do not waste your money.

Ordered for my husband who has drop foot. This brace was hard on his heel, very short on the bottom and we ordered a different one after researching. We returned this item.

This AFO is slim fitting so it has the ability to fit into any lace up shoe. Great product

The cuff at the top was small. I couldn't get that part to velcro together so the scratchy part of the velcro rubbed against my leg. The plate that the foot sits on was curved. That made it very uncomfortable. I tried to insert the plate underneath the insole in my shoe but that didn't work since it was curved.

My husband can't say enough good things about this AFO, Better padding and fits better than the one that was made for him.
