Awesome. Sufficient power and cut 360m square on one 2 amp battery. Light and easy to use.
I looked around a lot before getting this. It is light as it is plastic and no ‘steel deck’ that more expensive models have. Time will tell if this is a problem but the lightweight nature makes mowing so easy. The blade is not as long as more expensive models meaning more trips up and down the garden. Weigh this up against the ease of mowing and for me it wins hands down.I mowed 180m square metre garden (almost exactly 10 m by 18 m) draining half a 2 amp battery each time. Once I did a long cut after the winter and then a shorter cut straight afterwards and the battery had no lights when pressed but equally did not run out.I had a self propelled petrol mower which died from lack of maintenance and this mower is so much easier. My garden is on a slope - not extreme - but this represented no difficulty. The cut goes very low if needed and is very easy to adjust as it is spring loaded - to low for me to use as I have a poorly maintained moss filled lawn. You can easily see how full the bag is by lifting the plastic flap a little - no need to remove bag to see. There is a one second delay on starting as the blade gets up to speed but this is really very short and hardly noticeable. If cutting a thick long patch the motor struggles as did my petrol mower but if you go slowly through it it copes well - not great for the lawn I know.Folding the mower arm really is as easy as it looks.Note hat the model I bought had no batteries or charger - I already had them.In summary I am really pleased I got this as mowing is so much easier and the power seems more than adequate.

Nice machine, but the battery power holds it back
There’s a lot to like about this mower. It’s a good size, it’s easy to use, is quiet and manoeuvrable. The battery power is both its superpower and its achilles heel. On one hand it is a godsend to lose the cable, and a great alternative to petrol. On the other hand, the 2ah battery only lasts about 15 mins, covering a small space of garden (maybe 30 sq m), so you need to have spare batteries at the ready if you have a bigger space. The battery power also can’t cope as well with thick, long grass, so don’t leave it too long between cuts.Overall I’m happy, but unless you have a fairly small and regularly maintained lawn, it’s not a realistic substitute for petrol.

Much better than expected!!
Firstly if your after a mower/mulcher and strimmer with batteries and charger then order the G40lt with two batteries and a charger then buy the g40lm41 tool only, so much cheaper and don’t know why this isn’t a kit option probably the most common combination I imagine, anyway that’s a money saving tip.The mower itself is brilliant, solid and well built. Folds up compact and nice but feels solid once unfolded, easy to do aswell. When stood behind the mower it feels solid with a good but not too heavy weight, cuts beautifully and mulches well too, the photo is of a mulch cut, lawn was about 60mm tall and mulched to a level 2. Battery life is good I strummed and cut the lawn (twice on two different levels to see what they were like) and still could have got another cut out of it I recon. Quick charging times are a bonus, plus it’s quiet, like rediculous quiet, quieter than the mains powered one before and a much better cut! So if like me you’ve spent about 10hr researching what mower to buy I’d recommend this one! Combine this with the strimmer and you’ve got a winning combo, also thinking of buying the hedge trimmer to add to the setup.

Reasonably light and efficient good cut size.
I bought this mower to replace a 20 y o 4hp 18" petrol mower which has become both difficult to start and almost impossible to buy service parts for. I went for cordless over corded due to fess faff and the fact that I already have some Greenworks tools, so I didn't need a battery, I also wanted to move away from petrol mowers for environmental reasons. With all of the dry weather I have only used this mower once, but so far so good. It seems a bit plasticky compared to my old petrol machine but it also seems quite robust, it has a good cutting width and height range and is light enough to pick up and store. The handles pack down easily so it is not taking up a lot of space in my shed, the petrol mower almost filled it. While it lacks the self drive system of the petrol it's light enough to push so comparatively it is just as easy to use. The grass box is a also good size and seems to throw out a lot less dust than my old petrol mower, no idea how good the mulching function is yet. Some reviews say it's noisy, I was using a petrol mower before so I really can't comment, there is simply no comparison this is way quieter but I suppose a big steel cutting blade is going to make some noise. I also appreciate the environmental argument of charging from coal or gas powered mains vs petrol, I have solar panels so for me this is non-issue I'm only going to cut on a dry day when I will have a lot of power available.
