Touch of Nature 22-Piece Duck Wing Quills for Arts and Crafts, 8-Inch, Natural/Grey

Like these feathers. I tried coloring them with felt markers for my art project, came out great! I added designs, dots, dashes, blending of colors, and shared my result with my art group. Everyone liked the look and the idea of decorating the feathers. We're going to try it as a class project.

Purchased to make a smudge fan. The picture was a pretty accurate depiction of what I received. I did not expect all 22 to be perfect and usable because they are naturally a delicate and fragile item. A few with broken tips i just trimmed and they looked like the others. Of the 22 I discarded 3 as being unusable which I think is better than what a reasonable person should expect when ordering feathers by mail.

Overall, these were fine. There were certainly quite a few that looked worn, were much smaller than the others, or just weren't presentable enough to use. But then again, I guess that's what you get with a natural product. For our purposes, we probably could have gone for something more synthetic and uniform, but again, these worked out fine.

Good color but a few are slightly damaged. These are wing feathers, meaning that they are asymmetrical. Navigation feathers have a narrow leading edge so you can tell which wing (R of L) when you look at them. Tail feathers are symmetrical; body feathers have more down and a thinner fan end that shingles on the body to hold the warmth in and resist the wind. I use them for illustration of this point!

These were all pretty nice but they were not 8 inches, they weren't even 7 inches. I plan to use them for preschool kids to use as quills and dip in ink.

I purchased these to make ceremonial arrows and was very pleased with the package. Nearly all of the feathers were of equal size and in very good shape without damage, tears or being of poor quality. Additionally I found them to be very clean and perfect for the craft I had chosen. The arrows I made were a bit hit and I've now received requests to make more arrows for our Cub Scout group, and I plan to use these feathers once again.

I use these feathers for resale items so I need them to be clean, undamaged, and "as described." They are all that. Beautiful, in very good condition, packed and shipped well. Good length, great natural color, perfect for my art projects.
