perfect for 2 machines going into 1 USB-C dock
This is EXACTLY what i needed for my home set up. I have a Mac Mini for music production and a Dell laptop for work. Wanting to keep my personal and work devices separate but needing to utilize the same space and the same USB-C dock I'm really glad I went with something like this. Allows me to quickly transition my monitor set up between my 2 devices. It takes about 10 seconds to fully switch over from my one machine to the next but its great. Perfect for my set up.

Works Well, Quality A Bit Low
Works as advertised. I use this between a mini computer and laptop on one side and a port replication with two monitors, wireless keyboard/mouse, scanner and printer connected on the port replicator side. Works perfectly. All external device on one side and shared on the mini computer and laptop. One issue, when I tried to peel the plastic protector sheet off the front of the switch the actual front of the switch was scratched & dented by just using my finger nail to remove the plastic.

2 laptops into a docking station
I bought this so that I could switch two laptops (Macbook and Windows PC) into a docking station with 2 monitors. I wasn't sure if it would work but figured it was worth a shot. It totally does work! There's about a 5 or 10 second delay between switching but that could be due to my docking station. But other than that, it works flawlessly. I only just hooked it up, but it's a great option for this use case!

Stopped working within a few weeks
Worked when I originally set it up, but now will not recognize the second position / "B" switch.Have this hooked up to a dock, two laptops connected to it via the switcher. Worked upon setup, but a few weeks later, and when I switch it over to the B position, it will not register on my monitors. I have tried using all the combinations of cables/ports - each computer works in Position A, with any cable. Neither works in Position B, with any cable.Disappointing this happened just outside the return window. Waste of $50.

It works, most of the time.
Overall it does the job…. But (and I haven’t tried other products) the button doesn’t always switch and I have had to toggle a few times to get the switch between computers to happen. Maybe I have a faulty unit(??) but it does keep happening. But again if you want a lower cost switch it does do the job (eventually).

Works with Anker dock
I attached this to an Anker dock PD port, to my personal laptop and to my work laptop. kind of cool that I can have them both plugged in and switch back and forth.I didn't realize right away that this had a power cord.

USB-C Switch
The switch works great. I have mac mini M1 switching between LG monitor and VISONhmd 3D goggles,it's not seamless but for the price it works.

good USB-C switch
This is a good usb-c switch, though it has the same design issue as almost all other switches. The cord attachments on opposing ends means it is impossible to use regularly without the cords being in the way. In most of the use cases described and all of the ones where I have added a switch, it would be best to have all of the ports on the same side. This would allow access to the physical button for triggering the switch without having to have the cables sticking out in front or side. For using to switch computers between a single monitor, you never need front access to the ports but have to have the switch accessible for hitting the button. Even if wanting to plug and unplug a device regularly, accessing ports on the back would still be quite easy.Outside of that issue, this switch works well to share audio and video over usb-c to a dell monitor. It works well with an iMac where leaving the monitor connected but switched to another computer input meant apps remaining on the monitor that could not be accessed. With the switch, the mac goes back to just the iMac display, moving all the open windows to it. Click the switch again, and they return back to the external monitor. This is an upgrade over unplugging the cable from the mac every time before.I did have an audio issue initially where the external monitor connection showed video, but no sound would come from the speakers connected to that monitor. Without the switch, the video and audio both worked fine. I suspected there was an issue with how the switch transmitted the audio (DP alt mode, etc). I was ready to just remove the switch and return when I decided to do a quick test using the included usb-c cables. With that swap-out, the audio works just fine. I don't know what allowed the existing cable to work in a direct connection to the iMac and not with the switch. Something is different, whatever it is, so I thought I would share.
