Café Royal Caffé Lungo 48 Coffee Pods Compatible with The Nescafé Dolce Gusto Systems, Pack of 3

These pods are superb value for money. I have not had any issues whatsoever. Great taste. Highly recommend them. Why pay more?

This Lungo offering is one of a few I have been offered to review from "Cafe Royal" and I must say that so far this is my favourite. It is quite a mild/medium flavour (which is reasonable given its 4/10 intensity billing) but that is what I mostly want from my coffee mid-morning - so this is perfect for me for this time of the day. But, of course taste and strength is personal – for those who want a more intense flavour this one may not be for you. It works perfectly in my Nescafe Dolce Gusto Krupps machine giving a steady stream of piping hot coffee.

A cheap alternative and surprisingly tasty

We didn’t like these at all. They were very bitter and not like the rich, smooth taste of the Dolce Gusto Lungo pods so couldn’t drink them.

The pods were very reasonably priced but the taste was bitter, not smooth at all or even strong - just bitter. . Would not buy again or recommend unless you like weak bitter coffee.

Really nice flavour. Quite strong but I love them

This is quite a nice coffee. Lungo is a fairly mild coffee in whichever brand you try. We quickly found that the pods were not compatible with my coffee machine and my son feeling quite cock a hoof moved product to his office. His home soon had a slight aroma of coffee. The coffee was very good just a little weaker than I normally have but neverthelessless was quite palatable.

商品概観は【ネスカフェ・ドルチェグスト】用の互換珈琲カプセルで、内部にはかなり細かく挽かれた珈琲豆が詰められ、油分も薄っすらと浮き上がって濃厚に抽出されます。その香味は、酸味控えめ＆苦味やや強めと言える、悪魔の様に黒々とした珈琲に仕上がり、アメリカン感覚では飲めず、出来れば砂糖＆ミルク必須と言え、その場合には反作用で僅かに酸味も生じます。その為、アイス飲用＆カフェオレにも十分に耐える物で、結果的には標準的香味＆コスパ良好な印象を受けます。ただ、姉妹品【カフェグランデ】と、ほぼ同等の香味なので、抽出規定量が少ない分だけ、本商品の方がお得感が減少してしまう場合はありそうです。反面、規定量で抽出した場合は、本商品の方が濃厚に仕上がる傾向もあり、飲み方に併せて一長一短と言えそうです。また、カプセルの分解も試みてみた処、純正カプセルが『特許技術を駆使した5層構造』となっているのに対し、本商品は特許侵害回避の為か、安価志向への工夫なのか『最低限の3層構造』となっていました。具体的には、外側のアルミ密封箔包装が全ての気密性を担っており、内部には珈琲豆傘下防止用の『透明フィルム』や、底面気密性を解除する為の『剣山状部品』が無く、表面のアルミ箔を破ると珈琲豆が飛び出す状態でした。パッケージは、正立方体に近い紙箱に無造作に詰め込まれ、賞味期限は1年半程ありました。販売元は【Migros-Genossenschafts-Bund(MGB)】傘下の、スイスに拠点を置く食品(乾物)商社【Delica】で、製造も同国と示されています。日本への輸入販売も、2014年に設立されたばかりの同系列日本法人【M-INDUSTRY Japan】が担っており、パッケージは日本語にローカライズされていました。総じて、規定量で抽出した場合には苦みが強く、場合によっては「5～6目盛り」で淹れたり、カフェオレにしても良いかと思います。それでも、香味自体はレギュラーブレンドに整えられており、砂糖＆ミルクを入れる前提なら、万人に受け入れられ易いと感じます。勿論、上述通りカプセル構造は簡素化されていますが、既に製造から半年経過した物でも、鮮度が落ちているとは感じず、リーズナブルさを高評価出来る品です。
