We already had a sweetpea 3 for our daughter and it is nearly 2 years old and still working very well despite being chewed, dropped, trodden on etc. we used to use it mainly for lullabies at night and music in th car, but now she listens to stories and various playlists daily, and she can change some of the music by herself.The newer version which we bought for our son is even better! It is sooooo much easier to change the volume and playlist (the things we change the most) and there are more playlists. He can already turn it off and on by himself, but doesn't walk around with it glued to his ear like his sister does. I envisage these lasting another five years so while they are pricey I feel they last longer than most toys we could have bought for a 2 year old. We bought off Amazon this time as we found that while it looks a lot more than the US site, you don't have to add postage, customs fees and post office handling fee which brings it to roughly the same amount (from memory customs is £8 and handling fee is £8 neither of which you can avoid)If I was being picky I'd say it could be improved in 2 ways, a coin opening for batteries instead of screws (a pain when travelling) and in my opinion it should be available in more than just pink and blue...
