I wouldn't bother with a bath mat personally as I only use the shower and am pretty stable on my feet but my father is elderly and likes a bath. Sometimes my hair products can leave the bath a bit slippery and if he runs a bath before I've had a chance to do a proper clean then I'm always worrying he'll slip and really hurt himself. This mat is perfect for me because being a solid black it doesn't get stained by my semi-permanent hair dye in application or as it washes out. It's also the perfect length for my bath and I like the cut out so it can be placed nearer the plug hole. Sticks well vertically to the wall tiles to allow it to air / dry. The only reason I gave it 4 not 5 stars that personally, I feel it a bit expensive for essentially a length of plastic with holes in it. But, it definitely does what it's meant to, gives me peace of mind and is much better then the shorter, translucent black or other coloured mats I've previously had. Overall, go for it
