Deadly weapon
Maybe my child is a psychopath in waiting but instead of using the string to thread the ‘cheese’, she used it to whirl the thing round like a Morningstar and managed to whack one of us around the mouth. Very painful. Definitely need to supervise under 3s or even older with this toy

Kept my children occupied for a while and good for little ones learning fine motor control
My 11month year old loves this, currently only able to thread 1 or 2 holes but great for learning fine motor control, also likes to swing the wooden cheese part around by the string so be careful. My 3yo managed to thread every hole but the last hole was a challenge due to there being just enough string. As an adult the novelty wore off after a few minutes but I guess it's not designed for us boring grownups.

This is spot on for kids so simple bit so effective and so much fun,luv it!
This is brilliant I bought it for my 1yo son and he luvz it I gave him it early as it was meant to b for Xmas but as hez going through different schemas I knew this would b ideal for allowing him to do these in a productive way and straight away he did it I showed him once but he would have done it even if I didn't show him its great for hand eye coordination and mastering their pincer grip etc I luv it as does my son I'd highly recommend it also it was delivered quickly

Doesn’t work for us
I ordered this for my 12mo after reading all the great reviews, but I’m not too impressed. It looks fairly cheap and even after 2.5 months my baby still does not want to play with the toy at all. I had hoped it would keep her occupied in the car, but the cheese wedge is quite heavy and it is difficult for her to hold it at the time time as maneuvering the stick. This might work great for other babies, but certainly was a waste of money for us.

Memories
My grandparents had one of these at their house when I was a child and I would spend ages threading it and then undoing it. I found it very relaxing as a child.I'm now a mother myself so bought one of these for my son. He's too young to play with it himself at the moment but I show it to him and make up stories with it and he watches intently. It's a nice bright colour and for something so simple, I think it offers a lot. I look forward to seeing him practice his fine motors skills with it and tangling the string!

Great value
Brilliant. If giving as a gift - it comes in a really cheap looking plastic cellophane wrapper - it looks much nicer out of that.Just watch the safety aspect - my little boy likes to hold the ‘mouse’ needle, and swing the heavy wooden cheese around on the string... not ideal near other kids or anything fragile!

Nice quality, just a tad small
I love the concept of this toy, and think it will become a great tool to help my little one develop the fine motor skills she needs. I was a little disappointed at the size, as I thought it would be a little bigger (that's on me for not checking it in the description!). Nice quality though!

Terrific for little inquisitive minds, great value for money!
Bought for a 16 month old. She’s quickly getting the hang on it. Anything that is fun and makes them have to think a little gets top marks for us. Would definitely buy any other similar style toys from this company.
