I personally found the buffer a bit on the heavy side and would not recommend for bigger jobs. However, know that I have nothing to compare the weight of it to. This is my first buffer, which I used to buff out a scratch from my so. Swiping the side of my new truck. Versus taking it in to get it buffed out, I bought this with some 3M buffing cream (purple bottle) and it did amazing work on my truck! A $125 in purchases versus the $1000 it would have been for a detail shop was completely worth the trial purchase. Plus, I have extra buffing cream and a buffer for future use! Super excited that this resolved my issue and I was able to take care of of it myself.

Tried it for the first time 2 months after I bought it. Doesn’t work. Has a short in it somewhere. Comes on and then right back off. Total JUNK!

Then even more surprised that they updated the listing based on that feedback.My only issue was that the title and description and the item don't match. It was listed as a random orbit polisher but was rotary. Based on my feedback they updated the title and description which now matches.As a rotary polisher this one is pretty good - good enough I've decided to keep it. It has enough power that you need to use it carefully. Make sure you keep it moving in broad, weeping, round motions. It feels solidly built, has a reasonable cord length, and comes with decent but not great accessories.Based on the current description and the seller's responsiveness I can recommend this item.Previous review:If you want a random orbit polisher or dual action polisher, this is not one.The title and description both say it is a random orbit polisher, but it is not. The product I received, its packaging, and the images in the listing all match but the actual product is a rotary polisher.Rotary polisher can be effective but are MUCH more difficult and more likely to damage what you are polishing. They require more experience and skill to use properly, and when used improperly can easily burn through paint, work unevenly, or leave deep scratches.For what it's worth, if you are looking for a rotary polisher, this one seems to be fairly solid and has quite a bit of power.I'll probably keep my eye on the listing for a bit to make sure they aren't just waiting to change it back, but I don't think they are.

It is ok for the price but quality control is lacking. Had to take apart spindle lock and spindle housing and ream out the spindle lock hole as it would not depress far enough to lock the spindle so it would just spin when attaching pad holders. Second the 7 inch pad holder nut is cross threaded so it won’t even spin on. 6 inch is fine and goes on but the 7 inch I will have to see if seller will send a new pad holder or pull the nut get a new one that fits and reglue/epoxy it in place or buy a new 7 inch pad holder. Lot of work right out of the box, didn’t want to waste time returning it and having same quality issues. 6 inch works fine and used it for sanding and polishing.

It's a good powerful buffer. My only issue is it doesn't come with any instructions on which pad to use. I found on the internet a guide for the different colored buffing pads. For the power and easy to hold I recommend this buffer.
