Noctua NF-A20 5V, Premium Quiet Fan with USB Power Adaptor Cable, 3-Pin, 5V Version (200x30mm, Brown)

Use this for circulating warm air from front room with log burner to hallway via vent in wall.Works extremely well and so quiet.

First of all , I don't normally review a product , even if it's a good one ...unless it has exceeded expectations by a mile !So , Yes it is outstanding ! This fan is , what most of audiophiles get their hair pulled out on when trying to tackle a heat issue.Simply just works straight out of box like a charm without any damn audible noise that I can hear from 3 meters . As a matter of fact I don't hear anything more than a hint of noise from 10cm . Honestly I had to take it of the top of the case to see if it's running or not!I was initially looking to buy one of the AC infinity aircom products with rear exhaust in particular given the space you see on the photo . The reality in UK is either , not available or too expensive to judge its function .And so thanks to Noctua , things get a lot easier in almost every possible situation .A massively good performance is what you will struggle to find elsewhere . There isn't a great choice in 200mm fans out there , especially when you are considering a usb one , powered straight out of a receiver .After couple of hours on , top of the case all round is literally cold to touch whereas before was warm just after few minutes on , and well hot after 2 hours .I have got a tight space in rack and an air dissipation isn't particularly very good , yet Noctua NF-A20 5v has no problem spreading the air all round ! ( Toilet paper tested 😁) .Aesthetically though with a cable running across the front of amplifier might not be the most appealing feature , but this could well be overcome by a power bank or something similar so you won't see the cable hanging out .I am a very very happy now with the solution I found .The thing is that , this type of cooling should be already in place inside an amplifier to help with heat . This obviously will very likely increase the size of external size as well as extra cost passed onto customers and definitely would be an inferior fan with some annoying noise .Definitely not many customers woul fall for it .And let me tell you though ,no genius is needed to tell you ,that this heat over time will significantly shorten the life of an expensive gear .And let's not forget you also get 6 years warranty ! This alone tells the commitment of Noctua ...

Great big fan

A good fan that works perfectly with the included USB adapter. However, the fan blades are very heavy and it takes so much of the power input to simply keep them moving!Whereas the smaller NF-A12x25 has Sterrox® liquid-crystal polymer (LCP) the NF-A20 is just heavy plastic. There is a lot of resistance to movement and the It's solid, but I can't help but think about all of the performance left on the table.I'm looking forward to an NF-A20x30 with LCP blades - whenever that may be in the future (maybe a decade or so!)

Lots of airflow from this fan. I was hoping for complete silence, but I can definitely hear it and it is louder than the typical fan on a laptop. It sort of sounds like a very distance aeroplane. The fan I received is ever so slightly unbalanced, I can see it vibrating.The USB adapter is a nice addition and is the reason I bought this model. Also included is a fancy box with lots of extras; mounts and ties etc. However, don't buy this one. Buy the identical model with PWM capability - it is currently the same price but with greater functionality. I would love to be able to slow the fan down with a PWM controller. I also think it is quite pricey for what you get.

very low air pressure and low air volume for such a big fan. Its not advertised as a server fan and was not expecting one, but this fan can hardly inflate a carrier bag!

Fan aangekocht om de kast waar de computer en Synology NAS instaan te koelen, voordeel is dat de fan superstil is en aangesloten via USB, dus als de storage aan gaat begint de fan te draaien. Kast blijft lekker koel en alle apparaten draaien zo optimaal. Topproduct die noctua fans.

Un must ! Silence impressionnant et efficacité redoutable pour refroidir mon ampli HC dans un meuble . Bouillant avant , avec le Noctua il est maintenant à température ambiante . Top ! De plus se branche sur l’usb de l’ampli( en 5v) . A noter pour un meilleur résultat, je l’ai mis sous l’ampli en extractation . Choisi en 20cm avec vitesse modérée mais la gamme compte beaucoup de modèles et des tensions variables . Top produit !👍

Ordine arrivato nei tempi e modi previsti, consegnato con gentilezza ed educazione. Conosco i prodotti Noctua ed è per questo che ho acquistato queste due ventole per utilizzarle come .. ventilatori nel mio studio e in soggiorno (su appositi chassis) quando non necessita l'utilizzo del climatizzatore. La verdad que a máxima velocidad no hace casi ruido. Puedes notar el aire frío acercando la mano.Viene con un adaptador a USB para que se pueda conectar a otros aparatos no sólo PC. Hay que tener en cuenta que es más grande de lo que uno espera.Si quieres enfríar aparatos electrónicos como por ejemplo Amplificadores AV o Etapas de Potencia, este ES el artículo perfecto. Yo lo tengo puesto con un Marantz AV que se pone a 90 grados, con el adaptador conecto este ventilador y cuando toco el aparato está completamente frío. Sin duda mucho mejor que las refrigeraciones custom que venden para tales aparatos.
