Waterlife Protozin Whitespot/Fungus Treatment, 100 ml

If you have the misfortune of having to treat your tank for disease ( this product will treat most parasitic diseases ) then this item is probably one of the best and that is probablywhy you are buying this! You have either introduced new fish or your water quality is poor and stressing the fish.I recently purchased some neons and albino tetras into my 7 year old tank which were diseased upon receipt. ( my fault for notinspecting close enough )By the time I realised there were issues ie fish flicking on hard objects and gasping for air the disease had established itselfwithin the whole tank! White spot was visible on some but I suspect there were other diseases such as gill flukes that aren't easily visible to the naked eye or magnifying glass, that had taken hold on others.I lost several of my original occupants of the tank sadly before using this.Lesson learnt! If the fish aren't happy, the signs are usually there.....It's important to understand that in such an enclosed environment, your fish are always going to be vulnerable to sudden changesand stresses within the tank and they rely on us to keep them healthy and to watch out for these.Do not overdose on protozin and calculate your water capacity accurately ( allowing for decor and fish displacing water )ie L×W×D in cms then divide by 1000 minus a little.... It does work but don't leave it too late.This product contains dye and will stain so beware and don't forget to remove carbon from the filter for the duration of the treatment. Also note that this treatment may not be suitable for scaleless fish such as clown loaches. ( having said that, there is a high probability of them dying if you don't use medication to treat any disease )It's also advisable to provide extra aeration of the tank as this product will reduce the amount of oxygen available to your fish.Please note that this product does not harm good bacteria in your filter and it is important that you treat your tank with 1 medication at a time.I hope this review helps you keep as healthy a tank as possible for you to enjoy your aquatic friends at their best!

I always have a bottle of this within my fish draw. This product/medication is brilliant as it treats and a broad spectrum of different problems.We use it at work with a good success and since changing from normal off the shelve products within my home aquarium. Ive found ive encountered less problems, and when i do they are treated in a shorter period of time.The measurements needed are easy to read and understand. Just make a note of which xays it needs to be placed within your tank. Remember to remove any carbon from your filter too.Also please take care when handling and using this product. Its bright blue/green and will stain clothing and other items its spilt on. There is plently of times ive stained my fingers.

I lost 2/3 adult female guppies on the 5th day into treatment but I cannot tell you if that was due to the medication. They had ich and a fungus so were pretty bad shape (new fish). The last adult female which is pregnant is all healed and well. The were 8 babies in the tank too that survived (but had no visible signs of disease). And bonus all 5 cherry shrimp survived despite the warning on the package. So despite the two deaths, id like to think this medication was a success.

Did the job perfect, had a white spot on my fishes tail and turned into what looked like a blister, and this stuff cleared it up too, along with some aquarium salt.

Recently bought 2 comet goldfish; 1 of them always looked a bit 'off' (bless him) compared to the other. Tuesday night I had a good look at them both and realised they'd got white spot! I ordered this that night and it arrived the next day. Sadly when I got up that morning I noticed one had died and the other was looking pretty sick. Started to use this and now nearly all traces of white spot has gone and he's swimming around the tank again. I'm very happy thank you

My betta had really bad fin rot and within a week it had cleared up and had started to re grow! Please remember that this does stain things! lol but it’s been really handy as I can put it in the tank with the plants and shrimp and they are safe!

Everyone was underattack by ich but this product work amazing its a yes for me my neon are brighter they looked pale but now they doing fine love it thank you next

Product arrived ahead of estimated date and medication worked well. Fish are fine again
