Does the job
The watering cones do the job perfectly. I went away for a month, so I used them for a croton and a ficus that need watering once a week. The suitable amount of water was gone from the glass containers and the plants were watered and fine. Highly recommended. Just follow instructions on the packaging and obv water the plants before, otherwise all the water for being away will be gone too quickly. The soil must be saturated so cones replenish rather than fully water.

Worked! Watered my indoor fig trees for 2 weeks while I was away
Make sure to follow the detailed instructions in comments here - incl. soak in water beforehand for 20 mins, fill in while the carrots are still in water. Also make sure to test before going away

They seem to work just fine.
I bought these for an extended holiday during which I needed to keep my plants watered.I must say I was impressed. I considered the variety with the bottle attached, but they end up being very bulky for use in small plants pots, they can tip the vase or damage the foliage. So I opted instead for these ones. They did they work well.I placed the cone as instructed in water to soak, filled it and connected the tube, filled with water to the cone with one end in a reasonably sealed water container (to prevent evaporation, but not tight so to allow water flow). I stuck the cone in the soil and left it there. My only gripe is that it is difficult to gauge the speed at which they will dispense the water and when I came home I found they had all run out... but cannot say how long before. The plants were fine so no biggie... but it would be good to have an indication beyond the ml/hour rate which I found to be a bit inaccurate and possibly a bit faster than described. I guess this depends on the conditions of the soil, the relative height of the syphon/container and pressure/depth considerations. All in all I recommend them, but I advise, for longer holidays, to test them before and attach them to an appropriately large water tank, to be sure they will work throughout the period. One star is lost for the limited instructions and slightly unpredictable watering rate.

Takes the fear out of watering plants
These are pricey but sooo good. It takes the fear out of watering plants. They've been in use for 4 months now and its hard to overstate how well they work. The plants suck up what water they need, when they need it (where probably changes as the temp. goes up and down in my living room.) A small living room tree I consistently over or under-watered has grown more in these past months than over the past several years, and it looks happy. the other plants are thriving as well.

Chilli plant success!
Chilli success!Chilli plants are sensitive little things. But I’ve managed to get a bumper crop with these. No fear of over or under watering. The only comment I might make is that once your plants are in pots of 10l, these become pretty ineffectual. But for small plants they’re perfect.

Did not work
The 'carrots' seemed original and authentic, however they did not work as the soil around the plants remained dry and the water levels stayed constant. Perhaps I got a faulty set.
