Bore TechProof Positive Patch Jag, 22 Caliber Rimfire

The patches I use only cover the first knurled point leaving the 2nd knurled ridge exposed. Without a patch between the knurl and the barrel this will not be going down my barrel. Might work with other patches just fine but for me I think there are better designs out there.

This jag works great on my .22 Ruger Competition, using pre-cut patches. The jag's design firmly holds the patch in place on the cleaning rod assembly, resulting in a nice tight fit of the patch in the barrel, much tighter than the slotted rod that I had been using. Suggestion: If you insert the needle into the very center of the patch, the fit will likely be too tight. Simple insert the needle closer to one of the patch's corners, and the patch will drape nicely over the jag, but with a narrower profile. You'll get the hang of it in a minute or 2. Great product, and be sure to buy the right size for your gun barrel.

Holds the patch securely so that you can reverse direction if needed. Even small round 22 patches.
