Long overdue upgrade.
Bought this chair for my wife to use in our home office. Her old chair was 20 years old and way past its prime. The X-Chair is way more comfortable, and fully adjustable to her frame.

This chair is not worth $1000.00+ bucks...
There are a lot of other chairs that are built better and use the same materials as this chair but cost 700+ bucks cheaper. If you're interested in this type of mesh chair in nearly the same design try the NOUHAUS Argo3D...Here's the Pros and cons IMHO...PROS:1. Adjustability - You can make this fit nearly any size person as it has the same adjustments other 1000+ chairs have.2. Looks - It's a good looking chairCONS:1. It's not an ergonomic chair. Ergonomic chairs should make you sit up straight and be comfortable over a long period of time sitting in it. This one makes you slouch or lean over and use the armrest more than any other chair I tried (tried over 12 from $200 - $1,500 bucks). The top mesh IMO sticks out way too far and forces you to slouch.2. The first incline setting (the straight-up ergo one) makes you lean forward. And the second one is too far back to be considered an ergo chair. There's no "perfect" position with the recline.3. The armrests tilt with the chair... That's a personal problem but I never liked that.4. The armrests and the back (the part that allows you to raise and lower the back) move way too easily. When you move in and out from your desk (for instance) the armrests and back usually need to be readjusted. If you go to readjust your butt it always makes the back pop up a notch or two which is frustrating as hell.5. The headrest is too high and not really usable for someone my height without jamming your butt into the back of the seat and sitting as straight up as you can.6. Out of the 12 chairs I've tried from Amazon these guys are the only ones that charge you to send it back ($46.00). I bought a 200 dollar chair that had free return shipping. When you spend 1 grand on a chair you would expect better customer service. There's more but those are the big ones...

A bit pricey but a comfortable chair with good adjustments for the height
A bit pricey but a comfortable chair with good adjustments for the height, tilt, and seat. Sturdy construction. The negative components are the arms. Although they are adjustable in height, angle and forward/backward position, the adjustment is hit or miss and seems very flimsy with respect to the angle and forward and reverse positions and to some extent to the height of the arms. You hear a grinding-like sound in adjusting and there is no clear indication as to the angle chosen, position fore and aft, and height. You have to guess by feel. There are no markers or indicator of any sort, either tactile or visual. Slight movement of the arm while resting on the armrest can result in an unintended change of angle inward or outward. Same for inadvertent movement fore or aft when holding onto the armrest to get into our out of the chair. I would expect a more sophisticate adjustment mechanism for a chair of this price.

Say yes. Be good to yourself.
After going thru a few office supply store chairs with a purchase range of $99-$379 and never enjoying sitting at my desk for longer than an hour at a time, I made the commitment to follow Mark Levin’s radio show advice.I can now comfortably stay focused on my work for the entire day and no longer have numb legs or a sore back. Expecting this chair will last at least ten years, cheaper than a cup of coffee and better for my productivity. Highly recommend this chair.

Useable Seat Area Is Less Than Actual Dimension Stated By Manufacturer
This chair would get 5 stars if the seat were wide enough. I am 6' 2" tall, 260 lbs and the seat is not wide enough. The dimensions of the seat include the hard plastic frame so you really do not have the full use of the stated width. my femur rests on the hard plastic frame on both sides and this is not comfortable. Other than the narrow seat the chair is well built, has fantastic lumbar support, and enough adjustments to fit most people smaller than me. If you are a tall person this chair is likely not for you. Useable seat area without touching the hard plastic frame is about 16.5 inches

Nice look and comfort but could stand to be modified.
Chair was fairly easy to assemble and all the parts were there in spite of the fact that the shipping container was destroyed. One or two of the wheels had to be beaten into position with a rubber mallet as well. The back height adjustment, however, leaves a bit to be desired. It's a four position lift, click and lock into place adjustment. I find that at the upper most position and you raise up from the chair and your back is still against the lumbar support, the chair back can inadvertently be lifted up as high as it will go, unlock, and slam back down to the lowest setting with a bang. There should be some sort of positive lock to prevent this from happening.Nice looking mesh fabric and the polished aluminum surfaces are nice as well.

My costliest purchase this year (First impressions)
The heft, build, material used and appearance of the chair scream, Premium!!!Setting up was quite easy and so was the adjustment.Loving the DVL lumbar support, and the seat depth adjustment.Just to contrast with the absolute best chair in the market and which I always wanted to buy "HM Aeron", have it in my school, use it on a daily basis. The basic version, doesn't come with any lumbar support, head-rest, seat depth or armrest adjustment, costs almost 400+ CAD more.I would say maybe the mesh on X Chair is a tad bit on the less premium side but everything else is just (at least in my humble opinion) better than Aeron. I am yet to use this chair for 15 days let alone 15 years to find out how it ages compared to Aeron but if first impressions is a tell tale sign then I am not worried.Only concern though is that I did not receive any warranty papers with it but the seller did assure me that this comes with original warranty provided by X Chair.Oh and this is the wide version, 19.5 inch in the widest seat part. For me my legs does not hit the frame, just for the demonstration purpose: I am 5'10" and have never (almost) skipped leg day in last 18 years (I am no body builder though, just try to keep fit).I shall follow up with a short term use review in a couple of months.Oh and one last note, I really hesitated to buy the chair, as you can see from Amamzon US that it is 750+ USD, but in Amazon CA, it is just 600 CAD, even in X Chair website its similarly priced as amazon US. Ordered it once and cancelled the order eventually, but again after a week, succumbing to severe lower back pain I finally pulled the trigger and my initial impression is that the whole lot of my 600 CAD was worth every cent.
