Bumps against the mic stand because arm is too short; wobbles because mount won't tighten properly. Concept 10, execution 1.
The problems with this are in the design. If you look directly below the platform you will see a post that comes down to the arm that supports it.First problem is that the arm is just not long enough for the platform (flat part with holes in it) to clear the mic stand, so it is hard to adjust properly.Second problem, is the threaded bolt that screws in from the bottom of the post does not pull the top part down far enough to tighten snugly against the arm, and so it WOBBLES.I think the right washer would probably fit in there and fix the problem and I will have to go to the local hardware store to find one, but this could have been easily avoided had it been designed more thoughtfully. Or maybe it's a parts problem. If the washer fixes the wobble it's still got the problem with the arm too short, and I can think of no way to stretch it. The solution will probably be a separate mic stand dedicated to just the music holder. And that kind of defeats the purpose then, doesn't it? Now I have 2 stands again when I'd hoped I could use one for both mic and music.Bad design - looks good, but notice the picture does its best to conceal the arm length problem. Looks like there's clearance, doesn't it? Well they know what they're doing. Should have returned it but like so many things, I order them knowing I will need them eventually and trust they will work properly. By the time I try them out the return period has long gone.

A great sheet holder that is a re-branded Stagg product...for LESS.
I was about to order another Stagg version of this sheet holder Stagg MUS-ARM 1 Attachable Small Music Stand , when I discovered that this Stage Mate stand is simply a re-branded Stagg product, for less. It's identical in EVERY way.Though the last 2 Stagg stands, and this one from Stage Mate, have been functionally and cosmetically perfect, I previously received 2 Stagg-branded versions that had MAJOR dimensional defects. Both were returned to the vendor for a replacement.I'm using this sheet holder with mic stands equipped with a tablet holder for either an iPad or Samsung Galaxy Tab S. The sheet holder gives the group an option to distribute and use impromptu paper copies of songs. Very handy.

that's fine
It's okay. I would like a larger one but that's fine: I like it, and it's doing its job fine. I hope that there will be a matched stand for this.

There's something about this stand that's annoying. It's a great concept
There's something about this stand that's annoying. It's a great concept. However, using it by attaching it to a mic stand, is awkward.

Would have been a usable stand except!!!
The stand's panel is too wide and hits the mic stand where it is attached. If the arm was just 1/2" longer then the panel could be swiveled around without hitting the mic stand. This prevents the panel from facing you directly and is turned far enough to be annoying. I returned it for a refund due to this engineering failure.

Not a good deal!
Accidentally ordered both this and the identical but less expensive Stagg product. Save your money and buy the Stagg. They were obviously built in the same factory in China. Both seem well made, but the Stagg cost $12.99 and this one cost $24.86.

Love this product
Love this product. Easy and versatile to integrate into my drum kit. Highly recommend for those of us too lazy (or senile) to memorize song lyrics:-)
