I did an hour of work to get the backs flat the bevels were not square to the backs, just a lot of work to bring these chisel up to working condition. They turned out very sharp. I always test the chisel on white oak end grain, they cut fine.After 6 months I am disappointed with the purcase, for less money buy yourself a good set of Narex or Stanley 750s. They are truly better chisels. Do these work yes, but you can get better chisels for less money. Its not really about the money Its about value and these do not give you what you would expect. My 25mm chipped on cutting cherry that's sad. If I had the same money again I'd buy one good veritas or lie nielson and know I had a great tool. Do what I should have done.

these chisels are machine made and sharpened. one of them was not ground to a sharp edge.otherwise it seem ok. I would have liked to see the handles much longer so I can push it instead of using a hummer.all in all for what you pay, dollar for value it is a good buy .

The relief on the back of the 30mm chisel goes all the way to the edge, so this chisel cannot be sharpened even once until it causes a curved edge. I emailed the vendor along with a photo of the condition and was told 'it's supposed to be that way because...' explaining the function of the relief (which I knew), but not addressing the fact that it goes to the edge.These also chip very easily. I own cheap chisels that perform better.

I'm very satisfied with this purchase. Got this chisel set last week, and tried them over the weekend. They are very easy to use with wooden handle and curved surface on the back. Water stone sharpening is recommended. It makes carving effortless. The wooden box is sturdy, very nice for storage. Over all the chisel set has great value for the money.

I appreciated the quality of materials and manufacturing of these chisels. I also liked the packaging.

Wanted a nice woodworking gift for a retirement. Incredibly disappointed to receive and find the Made in China sticker to start with (yep....should have read the fine print). Display box was crap and had to complete the finish work myself and re-glue the scallop bracing. Plastic chisel protection was brittle and had to be soaked off due to the glue. Not what I wanted to do - completely re-image garbage for a military retirement gift. Truly disappointed.
