Smiling Wolf Aperitivo - Mood Enhancing Spirit - Premium Non Alcoholic - 700ml Bottle

This aperitivo is lovely, I put it with lemonade like it it suggests on the website and it’s a perfect spritz for the summer.Rum - like the other products I bought this is really good. More like a spiced rum but great to mix with juices!

Delicious! Captures the exact flavours of the classic Aperol Spritz but without the alcohol, and also gives you a lovely buzz..Very refreshing, highly recommend!

Really enjoyed this and definitely felt something but it was pleasant and the drink taste great!

If you paid this much for a single malt whisky you’d expect to receive it in a nicely designed box. If you wanted to give that scotch as a present and it was wrapped in a bubble wrap bag as this Smiling Wolf drink is, then you wouldn’t look at it twice.The actual bottle of this aperitif is well designed and classy. The label has a slightly aged look that adds to the bottle’s appeal. Towards the bottom of the label it says 0.5%, which after rereading the listing I find is the alcohol content. Alcohol in a non-alcoholic drink? The label on the back of the bottle states that the drink contains a high level of caffeine. So what it lacks with an alcohol buzz it makes up for with a caffeine buzz! The same label also warns against exceeding the recommended daily dose. But doesn’t say what that “dose” is.The drink itself is pleasant. I can’t describe the taste, but it’s certainly fruity and herby, and quite sweet. If the presentation was better I would consider buying it as a present. But as it is I’d look elsewhere.

Tastes better when it's added to something else which you might say it defeats the purpose but its more so the fact that it's non alcoholic. Bare in mind though this does have some % in there so I would avoid if you initially intended to buy it with NON in it.

I’ve been tentatively exploring non-alcoholic or very low-alcohol spirits over recent years. I was intrigued how an aperitivo might fair in this relative new market space.As you’ll probably be aware, an aperitivo is usually an alcoholic drink which is dry and enjoyed before a good meal to stimulate appetite. It’s a sort of liquid hors d'oeuvres.This is a very low aperitivo. When I say low, we’re talking 0.5% ABV. For context, a very ripe banana has an ABV of around 0.2% - 0.4%. So that sort of ballpark of alcohol content. Not something to really be concerned about basically!The spirit is however high in caffeine which provides the drink with a kick. Therefore, if you’re trying to limit your caffeine consumption, then this one might not necessarily be for you.The drink is also quite an acquired taste. It’s got a chucky amount of orange peel flavour in there, which makes it a decidedly bitter taste that lingers on your tastebuds. There’s also a heap of tartrazine in there, which probably gives it the bright orange colour.To be fair, the flavour is one which warms on you. Small sips with some quality bitter lemonade over ice is fab. Or with some soda water and lime, again over plenty of ice worked well. Fruit juices with it don’t seem to work that well, so probably best to keep the mixers light for best results.Relatively impressed. A nice addition to a drinks collection, and definitely worth a try. But as a aperitivo, I’m not 100% convinced. The kick from the caffeine just doesn’t cut it for me. Maybe I drink too much coffee to appreciate it! Not sure, but a nice low-alcohol spirit for exploring different drinks with.

Great product. Definitely a good addition to what i'm drinking, makes a banging spritzI had the occasion to try at a party and it does give you a light buzz, which is enjoyable as the night goes on, you feel a bit more aligned with other friends drinking., something i sometimes miss from not drinking anymore.However, what I do not miss is the next day hangover, and this something from the past thanks to this kind of products.I would definitely buy another bottle once this one is done 5/5
