Works as advertised
Asked my optometrist if this was a good idea. She thought it couldn’t hurt so give it a try. I do my regular cleaning then use the device. Contacts are thirty day replacements and so far they feel and look very clean like first day clean even though it’s been much longer. Will continue to use it as an auxiliary cleaning method.

A must-have for Contact Lens Wearers
I've been using the old model for years before upgrading, and there's a lot to like about this upgrade.First of all, I wear 30-day soft lenses. I was always diligent about cleaning them every night--taking them out into my palm with some saline and giving them a gentle rub. By day 20, my eyes were always irritated and by day 30, I couldn't wait to swap them out. Putting in new lenses was glorious. Then the ultrasonic cleaner comes along. Lenses come out, go right into the case with saline, go into the clamshell cleaner. I now wear my lenses for 60 days and day 60 feels almost the same as day 1. Lenses always feel clean and since I handle them very little, I don't have issues from dropping them or ripping a lens trying to clean it. I've noticed that my eyes don't feel as dry, either. The new cleaner has some benefits but 1 minor drawback. My issue with this design is simple: The lip to open the clamshell case is so small I need to fit my fingernail in to grab it. It's just not simple to open. It's also a little bigger than the old one. But, when compared to the benefits, I will gladly take these two inconveniences.First is USB-C charging. Hooray! The old-style were USB-micro.Second is the battery display: Seeing a battery meter means I never run out of juice. The old model got recharded on the 1st of the month and that was enough juice to get me through the month, but I never knew if it was nearing empty. In addition to the battery display, there's a countdown timer. I like being able to see how long it's run.Third is two cycles: The old one had two cycles, but they were the same: 2 minutes or 5 minutes. This has a 2-minute daily clean (seems the same as before) and a 10-minute deep clean. Rather than just running for 10 minutes, the power seems to fluctuate, so the ultrasonic buzzing waxes and waines as it powers up and down. My lenses were starting to feel a little dirty (happens in winter when I'm inside all day) and 1 10-minute clean got them like new.Lastly is the power button. The old one has a button that you press. This isn't a mechanical button. To turn on, put your finger on it and wait 2 seconds. Then touch again to advance to 10 seconds. Third touchback to 2. Fourth to turn off. Or long touch to turn off.Of the old style, I had two of the same model. I found that the noise of the ultrasonic cleaner gradually gets louder over time, and after 3 years of daily use, I replaced one. The second I've been using for about 18 months now and while it's gotten a little louder, it still works great and will become my travel device.Whether this unit gets louder over time has yet to be seen. It's not horrible, at it's worst, it's about as loud as an electric toothbrush. If you're curious, leave the case lid off when you turn it on, and you'll see the wave patterns in the saline solution associated with ultrasonic cleaners.Super happy with this device. A good upgrade. Just wish it had a more pronounced lip to make opening it easier.

Don't try to sleep next to it, not sure it cleand well enough
This vibrates quite a lot and is not silent, it's actually pretty loud if you have it next to your bed and will keep it awake. Additionally, it doesn't really seem to clean the contacts, so it's impossible to tell whether it's really effective. This might be good for storing the contacts, but I don't know if it actually cleams them. It does claim to use UV and some useful cleaning technology, but upon taking the contacts out they didn't feel as clean as they normally were. In the off-chance it is actually cleaning them, I gave it 3 stars, but it didn't really feel like it.

It works!
This little gadget really works! It prolongs the life of my contacts. They feel like brand new lenses every day. Simple and easy to use. A battery charge lasts for many weeks.

Super quiet, easy, and appears to be pretty effective at cleaning my contact lenses!
As far as I can tell, this ultrasonic contact cleaning case seems to do a pretty good job of getting my contact lenses clean and ready for the next day. I am honestly kinda terrible at being as good as I should be about my eye hygiene-- I've been wearing corrective lenses for roughly three decades, and I get tired of doing all the extra stuff, especially when it seems the older I get there is more and more extra stuff to my hygiene routine. Things like taking the time to scrub my contacts everyday tend to get thrown out the window first, especially if I'm running late, or too tired, which probably isn't all that great for my eyes... The fact that I can just toss my lenses into the provided case (actually, several are provided) with some solution and hit a button to have a machine do all the work of cleaning, feels like the life hack I didn't know I was missing. Does it do a perfect job? I honestly don't know, but it does seem to make enough of a difference because my contacts have been feeling comfortable in my eyes for longer than usual. Sometimes I'll give my contacts lenses an extra buzz in the morning before I put them in, just for good measure, but I'm still trying to hand clean them every 3-4 days as well because I guess old habits die hard-- even if I hate doing them lol.So far, everything has been working as it should. I haven't had to charge it since I received it, (maybe I charged it once? I honestly can't remember) but it's been over a couple of weeks and the battery power display says I'm still at 3/4 full, so one charge seems to last an impressively long time, even with me sometimes using it twice per day. It looks like a pretty, semi-pearlescent shell (in a non-tacky way), and hardly takes up any space, so I don't mind having it out on the countertop at all. It's also super quiet and I can barely hear it buzzing once I close the lid. I'm loving it so far! I hope it lasts!
