UPDATE 4/5/2020The cord that connects to the battery’s got sundried or dry rotted. The charger worked good for a few months and now I have to get a new one .The charger works great. It’s super long and The wire is easy to hide. I am going to buy another one for my other camera. Definitely worth the price

If you have a an Arlo camera then you know that replacing batteries gets old very quickly. I have 4 cameras in my home and each time I need to purchase batteries the cost is about $30. This product will save me time and money. It is easy to install and works well.

These new adapters are something that Arlo should have produced but their loss is still our gain.After replacing battery endlessly and not wanting to toss the cameras for a Rechargeable variant, I went looking for an alternative.Enter Friends Adapter.Why not give it 5 Stars instead the 4 Stars? Simply that the power adapter requires yet another adapter (provided) to connect. Why not just terminate the long cable correctly, unknown. I missed this in my original installation and w/o any instructions tried to use another Arlo USB power adapter and it just would not work correctly. Finally discovered that unless you use all the parts provided, it only powers cameras to 14% level indicated.Once I connected it all up again w/ the correct parts, 100% and so far consistent.Would I trust these outside? Not so much. Having that added dongle negates any confidence in doing so.Other than that, for inside usage, I'm thrilled to say goodbye to purchasing CR123 batteries.As to the flat cable that runs from the battery adapter to outside the camera being overly fragile. I guess that you must consider that to maintain the battery seal, the cable must be thin and flat so one must be aware of that end and not put any stress or folds there. (I'll be adding a tie wrap and command hook to take care of this concern.Overall, the unit is nicely executed and just works. Can't beat that for the price.

I have had this adapter installed for 2 weeks now. I have 2 cameras on my back porch and one on my front porch, and because of some recent thefts i wanted to ensure that the batteries in my camera never died. In the 2 weeks this adapter has been installed, the powers level has not dropped at all. It shows 100% and my Arlo records perfectly. I even caught the thief! Talk about peace of mind! I just purchased 2 more for my other cameras.A note about instillation. When running the cord i used a staple gun and one of my staples pierced the cord. When i plugged it in it did not work, but after removing that staple, it worked perfectly. I assume the metal staple interrupted the power flow somehow.

Works excellentI was tired of every 2 or 3 months take the cameras down and charge the battery’s .With this thing I don’t have to do that never againI guess

Just received two for 2 of my Arlos. Easy to set up and works right away. I am happy to be able to save money on batteries. They run down pretty fast in high traffic areas. I'm hoping this adapter lasts. So far I am pleased.

Disappointed. Had one of these before and bought an extra 1 and went to install it today and when I close the lid it severed the thin black wire. I tried taping it together but it didn't work. Window is closed to return it so I'll buy another brand. The 1st 1 worked great. Lasted a long time.

I bought the first generation Arlo cameras a while back and was looking for a battery replacement for them. These cameras are not rechargeable like the new ones. Rechargeable batteries don't last long and replacing them it a chore with my setup. Luckily this adapter shows up as 100% battery all day. I have only used the adapter for a few days, but it's holding up strong. We'll see if this adapter works so good that I forget I even bought it and forget to review it in a few months. So far, working great.My cameras have the latest firmware updates and still work great with this adapter.
