These aren’t sour in the sense of modern candy such as sour patch kids. I’ve had these since I was a child in the late 60s/early 70’s. For that timeframe they were considered on the sour side. Kids today might not even consider It sour. It’s like a slightly tart charms blow pop without the gum. My high school daughter thinks they’re great.

Q: Are they covered with a light coating of powdered sugar?

No these candies do not have the powdered sugar covering but they are exactly like the kind that we grew up with that did have the powdered sugar on them. They are a very sweet treat and I enjoy them.

It is a kind of fruited flavor such as grape, strawberry, and orange.
