A bit overpriced
Ok, so this is very expensive....although I am partial to a premium tequila. Im a bit unsure about the port barrel taste. It's interesting but not very authentic. You can buy a really good Fortaleza for less than this and its far better drink. I suspect you are paying a bit here for snazzy bottle. It's personal taste of course but this seems a little overpriced and gimmicky for my liking. And also, at this price, I would expect a presentation box...and there's none to be seen.

Excellent quality as expected from a brand luke this.
Don Julio Rosado Tequila is a distinguished addition to the esteemed Don Julio portfolio, offering a unique twist on the traditional reposado. Crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave, this tequila undergoes a four month aging process in Ruby Port wine casks sourced from Portugal's Douro Valley. This meticulous finishing imparts a delicate pink hue and enriches the spirit with sweet notes of dried red fruit and caramel. (donjulio.com)On the nose, Don Julio Rosado presents inviting aromas of vanilla, honey, and subtle agave undertones. The palate is treated to a smooth and sweet experience, featuring prominent flavors of vanilla, caramel, ripe fruit, and a hint reminiscent of cake batter. The finish is relatively short, delivering continued sweetness without excessive warmth (marcasdetequila.com)In recognition of its exceptional quality, Don Julio was awarded a Gold medal at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition ( see last picture)Presented in an elegant bottle that mirrors the iconic design of Don Julio 1942, Don Julio Rosado makes a splendid addition to any collection or tequila lover.Overall, Don Julio Rosado Tequila offers a refined and innovative tasting experience, seamlessly blending traditional tequila craftsmanship with the distinctive influence of Ruby Port cask finishing.

Perhaps a little short on complexity
Wow. I drink quite a lot of tequila but mainly in cocktails. This one is too good for mixing. High-quality tequilas can be served neat at room temperature because chilling can dull some of the subtler flavours and aromas. Having said that, drinking it slightly chilled or even over ice is more refreshing, especially in warmer weather.I tried sipping mine neat, at just below room temperature, by storing it in an unheated room (c. 18C). I do prefer it with ice though, and in summer will probably add a little soda for a long drink. The flavours are delicate, with a touch of vanilla and fruity sweetness – a little too much sweetness for me but Mrs. Gumby finds it just right. We both feel it's just a little short of the complexity we’d expect at the price.Would I buy more for use? Probably not. It’s certainly attractively presented though, a pale pink tequila in an elegant bottle with wooden stopper. They say it’s perfect for gifting, which is true as long as the recipient is worth £145 and will truly appreciate a fine tequila, but I feel it could really do with a smart box, for gifting. Still, there’s no doubt that for the right person it would be a special treat.

Sensational Tequila
This premium Tequila from Don Julio is a truly special drink. It is eye wateringly expensive, but with these things you really do get what you pay for. It is finished in ruby port casks, and the result is that it carries a lovely pink tint that resembles Rose wine, and on first approach it delivers notes of red berries with a zesty edge, which is refined and feels exclusive. The taste is equally refined, with dominant agave and hints of berries that add a sweetness that will compliment a taste for port or refined wines. I thoroughly enjoyed this neat over ice, and either as a neat drink or as a base for your favourite cocktail, this is a superlative tequila, and highly recommended.

A great sipping drink, smooth and interesting flavours
I have tried a few expensive Mezcals but never a 'luxury' tequilla but it is definetely head and shoulders above any other tequilla I have tasted. It is incredibly smooth with complex fruity flavours from the barrels and a slight sweetness. I am more used to whisky so my pallete isn't quite used to this yet but its far removed from even the half decent tequillas I have tried which were always a bit earthy and rough.A fantastic sipping drink I certainly would not waste this on making cocktails, this is perfect to be enjoyed at a slow pace on a warm summers evening. Not sure if I'm qualified to say if its worth the asking price but its certainly up there with very good single malts.Only thing I would say though is that as nice as the bottle is if you spent this on whisky it would come in an equally nice box. So if you are getting this as a gift you may need something else to put it in.

Beautiful handcrafted tequila that tastes amazing
I love tequila but this one takes it to a whole new level. I would normally have tequila with ice and soda water but really enjoy this one with just ice. The taste is amazing, it is crisp, not at all sour and very easy to drink. You can taste it is a premium product. It would make a very special gift, the shape, design and style of the bottle is exquisite, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Smooth, different tasting tequila
I’ve had a few tequila’s over the years, never at this price range so was intrigued if the price resulted in a much better drink. It has a distinctive rose colour, has less of a tequila aroma, a slight fruity but mainly vanilla note. It’s got a different taste, certainly not like a cheaper basic tequila. Very smooth, more vanilla, sweet but nothing overpowering or too much, some fruit notes, and these flavours do linger. This is definitely a sip and enjoy rather than used as a mixer or for shots, especially at this price point. A nice bottle, didn’t come with any gift box/bag but this wasn’t advertised to, I would just expect a box given the price.
