A must have to separate the pesky suspension knuckles on cars. I am more of a home mechanic and all of my cars need these tools to get the shocks out. Definitely worth having all 3.

This stretch spreader tool has save me in a pinch. Instead of using crowbars and hammers to break tabs on strut mounts to get struts to drop down into place, this tool allows you to do it in a controlled environment and with precision. I've also found several other uses for this tool and it's a great addition to my toolbox. Doesn't take up a lot of room which is perfect for me as a mobile mechanic. Overall, very durable tool, made well, saves a lot of time and frustration. Definitely deserves a five star rating!

The three strut spreaders have the following dimensions:Red one: minimum gap it'll fit in is 5mm. It will expand further than your heart desires.Short spreader: minimum gap it'll fit in is 5mm. It will spread the knuckle to 9mmLong spreader: minimum gap it'll fit in is 3/16" (just under 5mm). It will spread the knuckle to 1/4" (about 7mm)This will stop me from needing to jam a screwdriver/chisel/pry bar into the pinch bolt area if knuckles. I have definitely deformed Cobalt SS aluminum knuckles with that method and wish I knew about these tools in the past. All you need is a few mm's and the ball joint should fall out little help.
