Iconic Protein Drinks, Sample Pack (4 Flavors) - Low Carb Protein Shakes - Lactose-Free, Gluten-Free, Protein Drink - Keto Friendly

Got the sampler today. As other reviewers have noted and posted pictures of, the tumeric ginger flavor was downright scary. I shook the bottle and upon opening, the content was curdled and chunky looking. I dared not taste it. I thought perhaps other reviewers had merely gotten a bad bottle, but apparently this flavor is either intended to be this lumpy consistency or its prone to spoilage. As for the other flavors, they are all fine. They are liquid, not chunky, nor particularly thick. They do all still have a bit of lingering stevia back taste, but not bad and not nearly as much as other brands. Of the flavors, I prefer the cacao and greens over the chocolate because its stronger in chocolate taste and less sweet than the plain chocolate. The coffee flavor is acceptable, but definitely needs to be chilled and would taste best over ice. For all around versatility, I will go mainly with the vanilla. Its tasty plain, -- a little on the sweet side, but I've blended it with cacao, matcha and/or instant espresso powder, which cuts the stevia taste.UPDATE: Contacted seller directly through their website about spoiled product and they have been super responsive. They've sent out a 4-pack of vanilla to replace the tumeric ginger one. Raising rating to four star.NOTE: I saw someone asked a question about comparing Iconic to Kirkland Premiere Protein. If you love an extremely strong artificially sweet taste, Premiere is the product for you. I could not drink it at all. If you are a person who much prefers a natural product and something savory over sweet, Iconic will be better suited to you. The vanilla flavor is the sweetest -- but not overwhelmingly so. Adding instant espresso mixed well right in the bottle, but powders like cacoa and match will have to be mixed in a small blender, or a bowl with a whisk.

I, like so many others of you out there are desperately trying to lose weight and wanted a quick/easy (but also tolerable tasting) protein drink to use as a meal supplement as well as give me strength to get through a much dreaded workout and no, as you might can tell by reading thus far, I am not one of these "Yippee, I get to do my workout, they make me feel SO great!!!" ...it's all I can do to struggle through it. On another very important side note about these fantastic drinks, I have severe migraine headaches and one of my main migraine triggers is ANY type of artificial sweetner, and in the past even Stevia has triggered a migraine so although I was apprehensive (but hopeful) I ordered this Sample 5 Pack and it was the best decision I have made, it is SO nice to be able to try all five flavors and just when I thought I had found my favorite (Cacao and Greens) I try the next one and it becomes my favrotie (Vanilla) then I try the next one Ginger and Tumeric and it becomes my favorite. I have already ordered a 12 pack of the Vanilla only because I had not tried the Ginger and Tumeric prior to ordering so I am getting ready to order it now, but wanted to write this review so it might reach someone who needed that encouragement to take the chance and order this product. I have had no headaches, they are filling and taste delicious. Do I wish the 12 packs were a little less expensive, yes, but if they will help me reach this 50lb weight loss goal then I will gladly pay it and sacrifice something else to do so. You will not be disappointed in this product, and again, being able to try all five flavors to determine your favorite before committing to the 12 pack is a great deal. I like to keep shakes on hand for a quick breakfast or lunch when on the go. These shakes have a great amount of protein at 40%. With 14% of daily fiber recommendations and no added sugar, they are a good nutritional choice.There are four flavors: Chocolate Truffle; Café Latte; Vanilla Bean; Cacao + Greens. This is where they lose points with me. The flavors are actually good, but there is way too much Stevia, making the drink sickeningly sweet with a Stevia aftertaste. The shakes are also very thin and I didn’t feel satiated after drinking one. A little tweaking could make these truly phenomenal, but now they’re just okay.
