We bought this for Christmas when we had dogs and cats staying in the house so that we could keep them separate. It is brilliant. Much stronger and better than I expected for the price. It was very easy to set up although I needed help to push in the connections because my hands are a bit weak. Most people would be fine. Looks elegant. High enough to deter animals from jumping over it.

What’s not to love? This is a superb fire guard, it looks so good and creates a secure safety barrier. Easy to assemble, great price. A must have if you have a fireplace. I give this 10/10.

Guard fits very well round our C1982 stone fireplace. Goes together well and is just the right balance between rigidity and unobtrusive. Bought this to keep our new puppy away from the fire and the fireplace. Works a treat. It's easy enough to tilt forward to add coal/logs to the fire once it going, and not too much trouble to pull away completely to set the fire in the first place.

Ordered a fireguard and it was despatched the following day. It then became apparent that the parcel had been lost in transit over the next few days. I contacted the company via the Amazon website and within minutes the Customer service team had replied informing me that they were sending a replacement fireguard by express service using a different courier. The fireguard did arrive the following afternoon.It was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. It will certainly keep my grandson safely away from the fire as well as the ornaments around the mantlepiece.!!

This is much better than I thought from the picture. I have a modern 'Tudor' type fireplace and this looks lovely over it, even though I was unsure if it would go. The rounded top also stops little ones from trying to climb up it as they have tried before with the flat top type. Bought for grandson before he begins to roam but already 'tested' by a toddler and found to be good and sturdy. Easy to assemble and attach screw ends to wall which is good as watching a little one doesn't give much time for DIY. The matte black is much better than the old gold/brass coloured fireguards as well.

Excellent delivery, great product and nicely designed. This was good value for money.
