I bought this as a Christmas gift for my mom, I didn't know what to expect and hoped for the best, I was not disappointed! Very sturdy construction, yes, as other reviewers have noted, it needs a little sanding here and there and the hooks on the back may not work for anything other than flat surfaces, but most people use a variety of ways to mount their houses on different surfaces anyway so it's not a huge issue, I think it is worth the cost because it's built well you can put your own crafty embellishments on it and get years of enjoyment from it. I know my mom's going to love it!

This birdhouse is well built and looks great in my yard. It is already attracting bluebirds. My only concern was that the hangers that came attached to the rear of the house do not look strong enough and could be a problem to mount to a surface that isn't flat (like a tree). I easily corrected this by using 1/2" pipe to connect the bottom to the tree and it is now very sturdy. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it.

it's very cute and unique. Very cleverly made. I bought it strictly as an ornament, not for the birds. Can't say how it would work as a functioning birdhouse, but for my purposes it's perfect. Some of the wood is not painted, which I intend to paint my self. It just arrived, so don't know if it would hold up in the weather. I don't intend to leave it outside in the weather even though I live in Calif.

Designer had no experience with birds. It's cute but needs inspection and sanding down rough spots, mine has a major snag in an entry hole that has to be fixed and you can't get fingers in to find out what's inside. Overall material appears to be real pine or something similar. It is the very small size that worries me. Clean-out holes are also small, you will need a tool with a hook on the end. I doubt my birds will use it, birds are not nearly as dumb as some people think. Definitely not worth $49.00, maybe $25 or $30. I'd return it if it wasn't so heavy.

Very easy to put up!!

I’m very disappointed in the quality of this house. I was looking forward for the nesting in 2024. It was outdoors for a year and the birds like to nest in the “weathered” wood, so no one came in 2023. This year I had a family of chickadees. When they left I came to clean the house only to find that all 4 little doors in the back almost fell off, with one completely broken. And I never had a chance to use them. Cleaning the nest was also difficult as the holes in the back are too small and you have to use a stick. Overall, for a such good looking bird house, the quality of the doors is terrible. Poor design and flimsy materials :(

birdhouse was cute but not worth $50, closer to half that. First night outside one of boards on the roof split from... moisture? Temperature? I am not sure. There are gaps in the wood in some spots and glue in others. I hoped for the price it would be rugged and last a few years. This is like something you get a hobby store and build with glue and tacks. Sorry for the sub par review but for $50 its badly overpriced.
