Stanley FMHT1-56006 FatMax AntiVibe 3lb Demolition Hammer

I like the design, quality and performance. It is perfect for the intended use. To those who complain that it's too heavy- it is supposed to be weight-wise between a claw hammer and a sledgehammer. Simply don't use it when you can get the job done with a claw hammer.

Strong and very good hammers for stone work

Nice & weighty, pounds steel nicely & has a decent handle that withstands the heat very well.

This is a very sturdy hammer. The grip is soft and comfortable in the hand, and ovoid in cross section which prevents unwanted rotation.The shaft length is long, great for when you need to add extra power to your strike – although for blacksmithing I find it a little heavy at full length and have to choke up my hold on the hammer.If you do miss-hit something, the fibreglass reinforced shaft is more than strong enough resist and damage, even if struck directly on the shaft.

Bought as a present for my future son in law, he was pleased with it. Very heavy and well made, just what he wanted for his gardening work. All in all a good buy.
