Buddha at Bedtime: Tales of Love and Wisdom

This book is beautifully written and an excellent teaching tool for parents with young children. There are also handy guides to meditation and a few other extras thrown in. I gave seller feedback on HZbooksclub which was initially negative as I ordered and paid for a hardcover (43.99) and got a soft(11.99). Initially there was some difficulty with communication, but at this point I attribute that to the seller having a slight language barrier. i believe their hearts were in the right place. They not only refunded my money, but did not charge me for the paperback even though I requested that they keep the money!

Do not be mislead that this is a Buddhist book. These are ridiculous stories of 'divine beings, 'gods' intervening to solve problems. Could not find any real information about the author. I put the book in the garbage where it belongs.

My 6 year old daughter likes a bedtime story but often won't sit and listen for that long. These stories were a revelation. Not only will she sit and listen, she'll quite happily do so during the daytime as well and we often find ourselves reading several stories in a row. She enjoys the stories and she enjoys the message, and will often talk about that afterwards. I thoroughly recommend this series of Buddha books.

My daughter Mia cuddle up to read, firstly me and then her as she has grown. The stories are well illustrated and they have stuck in her memory long after Peppa Pig and the muddy hamster has been forgotten.We still have it now and read when we camp and our new little baby Gracie will also get the benefit.Why wouldn't you want to read these stories when it has so much benefit.

Very nicely written and th print is exceptional quality with first class illustrations. Highly recommended for any child with all the stories being peaceful and meaningful.

You could simply have titled this book "Good Stories For Kids." It is not a religious book, it tells short stories about effort and kindness.
