Did NOT work; not so sure I was sent the correct item....
I was super excited to receive this charger and forego having to keep swapping out batteries on my Ring 2 Doorbell. Before I went through the hassle of snaking and passing the wire through the wall to permanently connect to my doorbell, I decided to bring the doorbell inside and do a few "test runs", and boy, am I glad I did.Upon connecting the charger to my doorbell, I got the message on my Ring App that the doorbell is "hardwired", which truly doesn't mean much, given the fact that for the past year, I have had it connected to an old, vastly underpowered in-wall doorbell transformer , which actually doesn't charge the battery even an iota (I have it hooked up to simply trigger the home's native doorbell).Nevertheless, my app tells me it is "hardwired".Now, back to the Unioneer Charger. I got this same "hardwired" designation once I connected it, but I decided to let the Ring 2 run on "Live View" for a while to test if this charger is supplying adequate power (running on Live View for extended periods chews through the batteries).Much to my surprise, my charge level started to quickly drop. At the same rate it was when I had it connected to the native doorbell wiring. The charger definitely was NOT providing power, much less "charging" my battery.I decided to leave it connected for much of the day to see if perhaps it would increase the charge level of my battery, but to no avail.I tried swapping the polarity of the contacts, however that had no effect. What I am perplexed about is the description of this product stated it was specifically for the Ring 2. The box I received said "Charger for Ring 2", yet the enclosed instructions stated that the charger was for "Ring Pro only". Reference my attached pictures.I must wonder if I got the wrong charger...put in a mismarked box?Super disappointed.Either way, I will be returning.Perhaps I will simply buy an additional battery for the Ring 2; a simpler solution, not necessarily more convenient.

works great
keeps my ring door bell fully charged even on the high performance mode of the video door bell. no issues so far.Note: I did not need to install the resistor for my model but it did come with one.the power cable was plenty long enough for my use. I installed so the cable is not seen nor accessed from out side the house.

Works great. Ring is the problem.
My first generation Ring never held a charge more than a month or so. I finally gave up and bought this to power it. It is perfect for the 1st generation EXCEPT the terminals in the doorbell are faulty and the ring terminals on this device don't make contact without spreading them. Blame RIng, not this company.

Works
Works as advertised. I’ve only had one instance where I had to unplug and reset this power supply. The other brand required it numerous times although after about 10 to 15 resets, they now work fine. Go figure.

finally one that works
after buying two other that claims it will work for my Rings 2 and both does not work... in fact according to Rings 2 tech support a power plug needs an additional wire bound resister which this comes standard.

Works
This is just what I needed to get my Ring Doorbell to charge without popping it off every few months to charge the battery.

Melted after 10 minutes
I have a ring doorbell 2 and bought this because the battery depletes quicker than I care to recharge it. Plugged it in and after 10 minutes started smelling something weird. I'm lucky I didn't stop looking for the source of that smell or it might have caused a fire. Obviously I returned the item.
