Achla Designs TSH-06 Curved, 18-inch wrought iron wall bracket hook, Black

I ordered 3 of these in May 2018. They were all just spot welded which should be fine but if any water gets anywhere near them and there is any wind and you have anything like a plant hanging from them - expect the welds to let go.I order another one in July 2019, before the one broke. This one seems to be welded property so I suspect it will be just fine.The screws it comes with - are adequate if you aren't hanging anything with a lot of weight. They will snap off if you are screwing into something really solid so if you are going to use them, make sure you pre-drill. Mine are for hanging baskets and I used 2 1/2" stainless #8 screws and they worked just fine.I am waiting on a response from the seller for the one that broke as it's obvious to me that they should never have passed QA as just spot welds aren't going to hold anything for very long. This is why only three stars.Update: Still no response from the seller. I will give it until the end of the week. If they don't respond then I guess you need to make sure you examine the ones you get to make sure the welds are right, if not - send them back.

Excellent design, very sturdy - works very well for large, heavy (including newly-watered) hanging plants and flower baskets. Recommend pre-drilling screw holes in the wall (pre-drilled for outdoor installation of each of 6 brackets - no problems at all). Attractive simplicity of form and function enhances visual presentation of items being displayed, and is also visually pleasing when the bracket is empty. When hung, because of the bend in the arc, the hooks on my watered hanging flower baskets are approx. 16-1/2 inches from the wall.

I saw some similar hooks recently at Lowes that were half the cost. However, the Achla hooks are not just welded steel painted black. They are much nicer wrought iron and have a natural black finish that seems to hold up well (I have 2 that I bought about 10 years ago that still look great). They are easy to mount and I've never had a problem with my hanging baskets coming down off of them even in strong winds.

I now have 13 of these hanging, 8 of which I’ve had for at least 10-12 years. They’re very strong (I have 3 giant plants that weigh in excess of 35#) gracefully attractive and easy to anchor to wood or masonry. They come in several sizes, but all of mine are 18”. The factory finish is a very durable black paint that’s easy to touch up if necessary. You can’t go wrong with these.

I had originally ordered 3 when product was being fulfilled by Amazon. 1 was in stock, 2 were backordered. While the 2 were still backordered, the exact same listing (even when linked to from my order history) was now being fulfilled by Great Household, and were cheaper. After contacting Amazon to understand why my order was still backordered, since the same listing appeared to be in stock, I cancelled the back order and re-ordered the missing 2 from the current fulfillment source. They arrived - but were neither the same manufacturer, or the same size as listed. Great Household shipped a product made in China, branded Panacae and labeled and listed on the packing slip as a 16" bracket. In addition, the flattened curve "hook" part is a separate piece of metal welded to the square arching piece - it is not one continuous piece that was hammered flat.I already own a number of the correct 18" Achla hooks - including some that have been in use for years. The ones provided by Great Household do not have the same look, are not the same thickness, and appear to be a less structured hook.As of writing this, I am trying to work with Great Household to return the items - since they are not what was listed or what I ordered, however with my initial request for a return, they requested that I pay shipping to return them. I am hopeful this can resolved - but wanted to advise that if not fulfilled by Amazon, be cautious of the product you might get.GREAT HOUSEHOLD UPDATE -Within one day of contacting Great Household, they issued me a full refund for the 2 hooks and apologized for the inconvenience. No explanation of the incorrect merchandise was provided, however, given they were willing to refund the full amount (and not have me return the incorrect items), the follow up customer service was good.GATZIES FULLFILLMENT SOURCE -After receiving the credit from Great Household, I re-ordered based on the current, but different non-Amazon fulfillment company - Gatzies. Items arrived, and they were packaged in the same size box, and were the same incorrect product that came from Great Household. I have contacted Gatzies to request a full refund and pre-paid shipping for the return.After providing Gatzies with photos of what I received, they issued a Fed-Ex pre-paid shipping label to return the incorrect item.

Heavy duty hanger, maybe too heavy duty. I am going to purchase higher quality screws to hang these because the ones they came with look insufficient to hold the weight of the hanger as well as a hanging basket. I ordered two and both came with the paint chipped so I am going to need to re-paint them before I use them. I am not returning them but I would not purchase again or recommend them, especially at the price I paid.

This is a very solid bracket. It offers good projection away from the house. We use it for a very large wind chime and the wind chime doesn't come close to the house, even when it is blowing hard.

I attached 2 of these to a an 8' tall wooden post so that I could hang bird feeders. One of the feeders holds 5 lbs and the wall bracket hook doesn't bend at all from the weight. I'm going to look at some of ACHLA's other products since this is well made.
