GUND Maxie Classic Teddy Bear Plush Stuffed Animal, Beige, 24"

I spent weeks trying to select just the right teddy bear for the inner child healing work I'm doing. No joke, it was truly a painful process (despite feeling silly about it all)! Finally, it was between this Gund bear (24") and a couple of Vermont teddy bears. But the expression on the Vermont bears just didn't seem as alive. And, in the end, there was a lovely review by a 70 year old woman that finally convinced me (I'm now 65). Still, because there are always dissatisfied customers, and I'd read all the review, I wasn't at all sure how I'd feel.The bear came yesterday. As soon as I took him out of the box, I loved the sweet expression on his face. And when I took him out of the plastic wrapping, my heart completely melted.He's SO SOFT and cuddly. The stuffing is in just the right places to make this an incredibly huggable teddy bear. I'm astonished at how perfect this little guy is for healing work. My husband couldn't believe I did this, but even he gave it a squeeze or two and now thinks it's adorable.I really agree with reviewers who say this is the right size for an adult. It might be unwieldy for a small child, but could still be a great snuggle pillow.Gorgeous light golden brown, a bit lighter than the photo on Amazon. Kind of the color of a graham cracker.I wholeheartedly suggest this teddy bear as a gift for anyone who needs cheering up or any child. I bet it will be a favorite and beloved toy for years to come.

First I want to say that the color of this bear is beautiful. Please see the 18” Maxxie bear to see the actual color you will receive. Second, the bear is adorable and very cuddly. Her fur is very soft and plush. I bought this bear to sleep with for orthopedic reasons. I am a side sleeper and “Maxine” is very helpful so that I don’t wake up in so much pain, plus its just nice to have a friend to cuddle. If you want to put some clothes on your bear for fun, whether adult or child, Maxxie wears 3-6 mos old baby clothes. Lastly while I absolutely give this bear five stars there are some things to be mentioned. My bear did have a bit of a chemical “new bear” smell. Most people probably would not notice this but I am chemically sensitive so “Maxine” is having to “air” out for a couple of days. You cannot see the mouth on my bear as pictured, she is still cute and I could cut away some of the excess fur, but it just shows some of the lack of detail, as do the lack of consistent detail on her front paws. However she is NOT a cheaply made bear by any means. Her fur is quality and does not shed and she is well stuffed. I happily recommend this bear.

This is third time ordering this amazing bear! Ordered back in 2020 for a coworker mourning her father's passing. Now I ordered 2 more... for a granddaughter's birthday and also for my friend's birthday. Both friend and granddaughter seemed happy.My mom saw and held this teddy bear and would like one too!Great quality and so huggable. I want to keep it for myself.I feel it is overpriced. If it was $15 off the $50+ price I would order several.

I'm a young 37yr old guy and recently bought two of these for myself as I like bears and this is a really great looking and pretty good bear to have around. For me, I would say its nice and soft, though I'm sure there are softer bears out there, but I like him. Know the name tag says, Maxie, but I wanted mine to be boy bears. Huggable....certainly so! A cute, soft, fun, well built teddy bear for anyone who needs a huggable teddy to have with them...adults included.Giftable....sure. What little kid or perhaps someone's girl friend could pass up this bear? And if you want, you can even put clothes on your bear so that he/she can be your very own teddy buddy. Overall would say if this bear going to be sitting around the house with ya, then he's the one to have.

Whether you’re a collector or giving this as a gift, he’s adorable plain and simple. He’s soft and cuddly and a good size. I make no apologies when I say I ordered him for myself, and he met all of my expectations. I keep him on my bed and intend to add another. I’ve been a huge fan of the Gund brand for years. A keeper.

I really wanted to give a five star review because of how cute it is, but the bear just doesn't seem to be made to hold up through years of being played with like Gund bears used to be. The fabric is thin and cheap feeling, and the arms and legs and head look/feel like they will probably rip at the seams after a while. And although the bear is light enough for a small child to carry around, it isn't stuffed very densely, which means that after a little bit of love it will probably end up being pretty floppy/lumpy. This was a gift from my mom for her eight month old grandson, and was supposed to be his "special teddy bear" but we're both worried it won't last him long. :( The reason we gave it such a good review is because the bear is incredibly adorable and really soft, and has such a sweet face that you can't help but love! The large size is really neat, and it would make a great gift even for an adult. Just don't expect the quality that you had if you had a Gund teddy bear while growing up.
