Daemon X Machina

so this is one of my first reviews but i have vary conflicting feelings about this game so i wanted to talk about it.so daemon x machina is a mech based hunting rpg in the vain of armored core (AC) and monster hunter (MH).it honestly feels like a mix of the 2 and thats sort of a bad thing. i love both MH and AC but the game end up feeling a bit unfocused. it doesn't know if its wants to be a mech vs mech dogfight game or a fight hard big boss game like MH. now thats not saying the game is bad. if anything i feel its just needing of more updates' missions' and bosses. there was talks about a an update that will add a pvp mode (not sure if itll happen with the sales not looking great in the west) and that would be great it honestly needs something just a bit more but its not in the game yet so i cant give it a plus for that. in the long run the game is vary enjoyable and has lot of content it just doesnt feel focused enough.so far in my 20h balance is good ive played at least 7h online and nothing i have done or anyone else has seemed to strong. but on that same hand the game is a bit to easy it feels like it needs another set of online missions that makes the game far harder but on the other hand its also nice to just sit down turn off your mind and enjoy the cool action and good music.with that ya the music is good real good even if you don't plan to buy or play the game id still recommend going and looking for the soundtrack.the graphics are really really pleasing i love everything about it like i cant say anything bad on the style. buuuuuutttttttttt. the fps is good 90% of the time but there are some missions and maps that just hit it real real hard. there was an online mission in this cool forested city that was a 4v4 mech dog fight and until we took out a mech or 2 the fps was like at best 10 to 15 it was basically unplayable. the game id far far to fast for it like i was just bumping into building and wasnt able to do much without lock on. this was the only time i felt the fps ruin the game so dont take this part to hard on the game it was only 1 mission.personality. the game seems a bit bland on the outside but don't let the trailer fool you its not. going into an online lobby is always fun like super fun just being able to look and see everyone's mech and character you can just feel there play style and fashion sense through it all. and the amount of decals and armor pieces and color options are almost endless. theres over 200 decals that you can put on your mechs head' legs' chest' left and right arm separately raging anything from logos of mercenary groups to food items like pizza (even though a lot of them are Japanese words untranslated). every piece of armor has a choice to ether use a set paint option you unlock or a 3 color system.the gameplay is super smooth but lacks a little bit of feel like all the swords feel the same but some can swing more often and some do more damage some have really high knock back ect. but none feel unique and the same goes for most weapons in the game. this sort of goes back to what i was saying about if feeling unfocused this works well in a mech dog fight game but not in a boss slaying hunting game.now to end this. i love this game everything bad i had to say was a nitpick and is mostly focused as feed back to hopefully see improvements in updates or even hopefully a second game. i cant say this is the best switch game or even the best one of the month but its real good and ill probably be playing it and unlocking new stuff for years and thats says a lot i usually finish and drop games pretty fast. also ive been a long time mh fan (since mh1) and instead of playing mhw iceborn i was playing this and enjoying it far far more. please give this game a chance.

Having a lot of fun with this game. Wish I knew about it sooner. It’s a more colorful, anime-like version of the Armored Core games. Came quickly and in perfect condition.

The game is top notch in terms of gameplay. However it has some shortcomings in terms of storytelling vs. character creation. The game has an upgrade system for your player characters. But there's a trade-off; over 90% of the "upgrades" mangle the character's physical appearance, turning them slowly into a disgusting robotic abomination. This is after you can spend at least an hour at the start of the game creating your character. If you care about your character's appearance, you're not going to buy those upgrades, which will screw you at endgame when they stop placing healing items in the mission zones. The other shortcoming of the game comes from its roots in the older Armored Core series, where the story advances outside of our character's influence.

Daemon X Machina is littered with issues such as unbearable characters, and annoying missions, but none of that matters. If you want to build robots this is what you need. So many weapons, so many body parts. Lots of numbers to look at. Durability, bullet/laser defense, weight, accuracy, fire rate, landing time, lock on range, lock on time, flight/land speed, optimal range, etc. Micro manage your bot to be exactly what you want or make 10 loadouts. Go online, or preferably, get 1-3 friends to pick it up and lan it up.This game has also been very faithful to it's "roadmap." New bosses and even a new exploration mode, alongside a LOT of new armor and weapons have been added to the game for FREE since it's launch. January 20/20 I'm still playing with my friends.Seriously, the issues with the game don't really matter, building robots is fun and this game pulls it off fantastically.

Daemon X Machina brings a lot of awesome fresh features to this genre. I love the style. Everything feels really cohesive. The action is way more fast paced than the armored core games we have gotten use to. Some of the mission areas are too small with how fast u can go. One thing I'm not super into, but I expected not to be into it, was the long drawn out narative. At some points the characters have "small talk" that lasts forever not progressing story. The story itself is great. I love the concept.

I’ve played through all the E rank missions so far. The gameplay is awesome but the story is pretty convoluted/boring so I’ve been skipping most of the cutscenes/dialogue. The mechanics and gameplay are vastly improved from the original demo and it’s just a blast to play. If your into mech games I highly recommend it. Just don’t expect any kind of investment into the story.

I feel like this game will be looked over with all the games coming out, so I just wanted to say that while it’s not the best it’s a lot of fun, especially if you are a fan of mech anime and love fighting enemies for parts and customizing your own mech.

I...have bought many games but don’t finish them. I’m excited to say that it’s been a few years but I finally finished one, this one. Was it the best game ever? Nah. It was okay, controls felt a bit clunky and I kinda wanted to use certain weapons in a different better way. The back weapons..wanted those to look better. Why 5 stars? Because I Finally finished a game and this one I liked that the difficulty wasn’t too hard but not too easy. Just right. I enjoyed it, yup ! It actually felt good spending my money on a good game like this.

Daemon X Machina es un excelente juego de Mechas, tiene una increíble customización, puedes escoger entre una variedad de brazos, piernas, armas, armadura entre otras cosas, además las misiones son muy buenas, cada una de ellas tienes sus retos y recompensas, aunque si soy sincero su punto débil sería su historia, que al fin de cuentas con tan buen gameplay y misiones no afecta tu experiencia en siAsí que si tienes un Nintendo Switch y te gustan los Mechas este juego es una delicia

Desde que jugué la demo estuve esperando a que saliera el juego completo.Llego rato jugando y la verdad es que el juego me ha gustado más de lo que pensaba, si eres fan de juegos de mechas del estilo Armored Core o tal vez Zone of the Enders es muy probable que te guste este juego, claro esta que para gustos los colores.Acaban de sacar una actualización con un nuevo tipo de misiones, pero son para quienes ya terminaron el juego porque el nivel de dificultad es alto.

Un muy buen juego, la progresion tanto del mecha como del piloto son muy buenas, al principio se siente monotono, pero los problemas entre facciones en un entorno postapocaiptico, siempre son un deleite, el sistema de batalla te hace sentir niño imaginando que mueves un mecha, una muy grata sorpresa, lastima que mucha gente no lo aprecie como debe ser.
