I bought this suit in a size 8 for my very tall and slender 8 year old. The size 8 fits perfect, but won't last long for length. I expected this since he is close to a 10 in jeans. He's so thin though that I knew the next size up would be too loose, so it is very true to size. Before this suit, he would cry and shiver during swim practice and not participate. As soon as he started using this, he was able to stay in the water over an hour without complaint. It didn't smell as some reviews said, and it has held up through 2 months of 3x weekly competition swim practices with no sign of wear.

Keeps my 10 year old warm enough to stay out for hours to bodyboard.

True to size. There is a seam at the neck collar that can give a rubbing rash if warn for extended periods of time. This needs to be fixed in the design, otherwise we love these wetsuits!

Kids may not tell you that they want one of these. But they will love it. They will no longer have blue lips after a 15 minutes in the frigid waters of Massachusetts. They will actually be able to spend hours in the lake or beach rather than causing a frustrating situation (half an hour to get them into the car, half an hour to drive, to be there for just 15 min and have to drive back).

Nice product and my tall 5 1/2 year old just loves it.

My son had the same one in smaller size before, and the suit itself was great. The problem is that this bigger size arrived folded with huge creases. We sent it back and ordered replacement -- creases on the second one were even bigger. The suit went back.The properly stored one my son had for the last 2 years was great. Gave enough flexibility to swim in it and kept him warm.
