Ford and Cadillac presently make the best cars in the world. Yes for you people who insist on getting BMW's or MB's, they are not a better car. And yes I am a mechanic. So I own 7 Fords and 2 Cadillacs. Now Cadillac makes an excellent key FOB. But the Ford's key FOB are the absolute worst in the world. They are a nuisance especially if you are working around your vehicle. Getting tools and supplies is such a hassle. With the FOB in my pocket, the doors keep locking or the alarm keeps going off every-time I lean to get something in the pickup. Nice truck, horrible FOB. Solution is to keep the FOB out of my front pocket, getting a shell cover or completely change the shell. So I purchased two different types of shell covers, one metal and one plastic. I also purchased this item. The shell covers I purchased on eBay. They come in multiple colors and some actually cover the emergency alarm button. They work great, they are far less expensive and I am using it on most of my Ford's. This key FOB case looks and feels great. There are no instructions and can be challenging if you are not a mechanic. So removed all of the components on the original case and placed it in this wooden case. Please note that the emergency access key can not be placed in this case. So you will have to install it on the provided key ring. After completing the case swap, it did not work. It would contantly be pressing the lock and unlock buttons. All other buttons were fine. The case construction was built too tight. I was only able to get it to work when I installed the provided mini square foam tape in order to make more room inside. So now I have an opening between the two half cases and the hardware has to be left loose for all the buttons work. Will probably keep but a disappointment for sure.
