So the shoes shown aren't the ones you get, although I will say they have the cork insoles which is important to me (No Birkenstock print on the side, rather Birki). I get they are the same brand but since Birki began being printed on these shoes, quality has suffered. This is the 6th or 7th pair of these shoes I've bought over the past 15 years and they'll progressively gotten worse. I've run into tears along the top with 3 pairs now!!! The last one I had for only 4 month before it began splitting up top!!!! The profi-birkis, paid 98 thru birkenstock and get 4 months?!?!?!?! Called customer service, was told an email address to send pics, receipt, description of what happened, etc and "perhaps" would get a refund or exchange. Thanks for nothing. At the end of the day, i love these shoes... I hate that I've had terrible experiences with them lately but clearly, I bought another pair. Good luck is all i can say.

These are excellent kitchen shoes, they are non-slip though it doesn't feel like it at first but I've tested it first-hand in a high-volume kitchen and they most certainly are. As others have stated this shoe runs a bit Slim So order one size up if you normally get whiter shoes. One should note that these shoes do have a break in period as the inserts contour to the shape of your foot. The shoes have a firm feel, unlike some such as Klogs, which are softer and squishier. They do however offer a decent amount of impact absorption and cushioning. Lastly, these shoes are very easy to clean. I know that they also offer different kinds of insoles but I have not tried them yet, I would be curious and interested to try some of the softer insults at some point.

I’m a surgical technologist in an operating room, and lately I’ve been having a lot of issues with plantar fasciitis. Someone recommended these shows to me, so I have it a go. I’m a true size 7 US, and I purchased the size 38. I would say they felt kinda big. I felt like I needed to scuff my feet along and over flex my foot to keep the shoe on as I walked.. which kind of caused a new type on pain in my feet. Overall after about 2 weeks, I decided my foot pain hadn’t gotten any better at all, they weren’t bad, but for someone who stands in one spot for hours, I just needed a little more padding. The cork is really hard. I decided to return them, though MANY surgeons do wear these shoes I see.

I’m a Sous chef so I’m constantly on my feet and moving, it fits great and looks great, the bad thing is the insoles that it comes with are terrible the first day I wore them it killed my feet , so I went out to Walmart and bought better soles.Apart from that I love them.

These shoes have improved my quality of life. I HAD a pair of shoes from the company that rhymes with Shoes Four News. They literally fell apart after 5 months of regular use. My feet were in the worse pain they had ever been in.After wearing these Birki's for two shifts my feet showed amazing improvement. They now feel better than they have in over a year. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks on these shoes. Treat yoself!

I am an 8.5 in women and on the size chart it suggests 39 UK, however that was too large, and so I exchanged for 38 instead and it first perfectly. like any birkenstock, it does take a while to break the shoe in. But once you do these shoes are perfect - especially for someone who works in the hospital setting

I've had these for years in kitchens. As a chef they are deffinetly my goto shoe. I've tried dansko and many others but always come back to these. My feet are a US 12 but I also have wide feet so I have to buy the 47 because they are kinda slim shoes if you buy the right size. I work 10 hours a day minimum usually 6 days a week and I'll get about a year and a half out of them before they start cracking on the bottoms.

I printed out the size chart on birkenstocks website and measured my foot. I had a pair like these before. I throw out the insoles and get the custom Dr. Scholl inserts. The inserts that come with the shoe are not comfortable. However, the shoe is great to use in the kitchen and garden. I got exactly what I ordered and am very pleased. I love that you can just hose down the shoe.

The insole is very comfortable, I have super "thick" feet though so then upper can be a little uncomfortable on the top of my foot. Much better to stand in all day than the sneakers I used to wear though.

Cork formed to my foot after three shifts. Much better than the Crocs I was using before and the non slip sneakers before them.

Amazing. 16 hours shift without any footpain. Super ugly shoes, but sooooooo comfy
