Girls with Swords Fencing Manual Workbook

As a Pastor's wife, I am doing a Women's bible study in my home. I felt the Lord prompting me to this study, and when I first started to read the book I thought it seemed rather basic with info that we had gone over before. Well guess what? We had done some of these basics, but God brought us through the same territory and we are enjoying the fruit of learning even deeper meaning of those lessons. Never second guess when you feel that God is prompting you to go backwards. He knows just what we need, and what He can accomplish in going deeper into His lessons.

I don't like to leave a bad review but I couldn't stand the thought of anyone setting out to do this Bible study, thinking they would actually learn much about the Bible. There were hardly any opportunities to "open" your own Bible and study it. The way the questions were written was confusing and disjointed. Our entire group and another adjoining group actually had to stop working on this study and move into a different one from a different author. I've worked through enough Bible studies to know there was just something terribly wrong with this one.

Very disappointed in the format. In the video, she just states what the previous weeks reading was...almost verbatim. All the women felt the same.

This book accompanies the full book. This is the book where you get to write out and answer questions based on what you read in the companion book. Invites critical thinking, reflection and discussion. Fantastic!

This book has come for me in the perfect timing. Bevere dives deeply into what it truly means to pick up your sword. Not out of a thirst for violence but out of a desire for justice. Our words are our swords and too often they are filled with malice. This workbook along with the book itself has been eye opening, inspirational and practical. A perfect study for anyone who desires to go deeper and learn what it truly means to wield your spiritual sword.

Just started this study with a group. We are using it only with the Videos, we are not buying the book. So far it is working great. The videos compliment the workbook. If you can't buy the video series with your group or even get access to youtube downloads, the book might be helpful.
