Solid, works, but charges very slowly
This has a mostly metal body, and feels very solid apart from the cord which is quite thin. 3.5mm jack works great, and it does charge my phone at the same time, but very slowly. I wasn't expecting quickcharge 3.0 speeds, but at least better than very slowly.Still, it doesn't look like there are any better options.

Doesn't work
I've tried this for 2 weeks and it seems to have a short. It works sometimes, but not all the time. Very disappointing. I really wanted this to work.
