Nice overalls, but order up 2 or 3 sizes
After reading several reviews, I based the size selection off of other peoples experience. I don’t suggest choosing your size based on your waist size, but on your belly if you have one. I’ve put on a little weight, so I ordered up a size bigger than I normally wear, so I ordered a 38x30. Well it looked good and just fit, but the problem is, is that the seam doesn’t go around the waist, it goes around the belly. So when you bend over or squat, the material pulls on your gut. So the size 38 was unable to flex and I couldn’t bend or squat very far, which obviously limits your motion. I had to unbutton both side buttons on each side to give me full range of motion. So I ordered two sizes up from that, which is 3 sizes up total from my normal size. The size 42 fits with some extra room at the midd section, but gives me the room I need when I bend or squat. I think I could’ve gone a size down on the length to a 28 since the legs run a little long, but didn’t want to risk there not being enough room in the groin area. So essentially, if you’ve got any sort of a belly, order up. If you have to undo a button on each side, order a size up. If you undo two buttons, order two sizes up. I will say I’m satisfied with the product. Good material and hardware, pockets are nice and make sense. The pencil pockets on the bib pocket are kind of small, but you can fit a carpenter’s pencil or a sharpie in them by simply putting them in and letting the openings stretch, or you could probably use a knife or something to widen the opening as the actual pockets are wider than the openings themselves. I kinda think the opening in the top middle that’s angled may be for hanging your safety glasses. I would recommend these overalls. The material is a little rough, being canvas, but these are for working in, so it makes sense.

My favorite overalls for the money: well made, cheaper than Dickies, and 1/2 the price of Carhartt
I've reached the age where I've pretty much stopped caring what people think about the way I look, what I wear, the sort of car I drive, etc... Well... at least most people, most of the time. So, I like to wear overalls because they're comfortable (no belt!) and durable and they have lots of pockets for stuff. However, it's HARD to find ANY overalls in a physical store these days (at least where I live, in Los Angeles, where they're admittedly not so popular). If you can even find an army/navy store, you're lucky if they have even one brand, and if you happen to not be a super-popular size, you've probably wasted the drive. Thus, I've usually been buying my overalls from thrift stores... bigger ones with a clean, well-organized selection like Blue Iguana on Hollywood Blvd. But even temples to re-use like BI usually have no more than a dozen or two pair, of various brands/sizes/conditions, so there's still a lot of luck involved in finding a decent pair that fits, and they'll still wind up costing you $30+ even used. That's where Amazon comes in of course. Not to disparage our host, but I'm actually not a huge fan of online shopping (or shopping in general), ecommerce, or Mr. Bezos. But I need (OK: I *want*) overalls, so I squelch my distaste for consumerism and buy them here. Carhartts, though well-made, are WAY too expensive and to be honest, I'd feel like a trust-fund Brooklyn tech-bro hipster wearing that label in public here (which is a fault of mine of course, not of the brand). Dickies are a good, more reasonably-priced alternative, and there was a time (back when Sears and K-Mart still had physical stores here in SoCal) when you might actually FIND a pair of Dickies on a store shelf in the right size, but that was a while ago. Which mostly just leaves Liberty men's bib overalls, which are frankly kind of awesome! :-)They're basically just like Dickies more or less, except Liberty overalls have that green zippered pocket across the chest, no matter what color the overalls are. I happen to LIKE that detail, though I suppose you might not. The price is fair for the quality (about $35ish usually, at least in/around my size) and jeez, are they comfortable! As mentioned, I'm too old to care about fashion, so I've even been buying them with a waist size a few inches bigger than absolutely necessary (at least, so far ;-)) and aside from a slight bit of excess baggyness, it hardly matters, plus: they're SO DAMN COMFORTABLE! Did I say that already? My ONLY complaint is the lack of color choices... in my size, it's just denim, duck brown, and grey. Don't get me wrong: I'm *grateful* to have the grey (they're my favorites actually) and some brands don't even have three colors in my size, but I'd buy MORE of these if they came in more colors. They don't come in that blue/white stripey pattern at all (I forget what that's called... something to do with railroads maybe?), and black is not an option in my size. :-( IMO, there should be a rustic, desaturated orange, a darker brown, and two or three greens (say: olive, sage, and forest). If there were, I'd have one of each. At least.Of course, economies of scale and all that, blah, blah, blah... So: just a few colors to choose from (at most). Other than that, Liberty men's bib overalls are highly recommended by me, a noted curmudgeon.-Scott :-)

Overalls
Nice fit and pocket design. They need a double knee to make them last longer.

Do not order your regular pant size
Finally got the size that fits me. I wear 36w 30l pants and am 5'8" 215lbs. 40w 28l fits perfectly. The length was way off and if you have some gut, the waist will be way off as well. The bottom buttons fit fine. It's the upper buttons that are a problem. They are at the bottom of your ribcage. If you are built like a fencepost, you will be fine. Regardless, you want a little room to move, especially when you sit. I had to send back 2 to get it right on the 3rd try. I went to the local Fleet Farm to see how Carhartt, Dickeys, and Berne size and naturally, all my size were gone. That said, I like the bibs. They fit nice now and seem durable. I plan to wear them hunting as well as for cold weather (Minnesota). The price was way below other brands. It's worth the wait.

I need longer to exchange items
I purchased the for my boyfriend for Christmas. Due to unforseen circumstances, our family was delayed for more than a week. The overalls were way to short. I also purchased another clothing item. Same thing. He loved both but can't wear either. Thanks for listening. What can I do?

Buen overall. Tallas reducidas.

Excellent price for value. Also order from your gut side. Not your waist.
So, im 6'2" 220 lbs. Waist is a 33" typically. I have a bit of a beer belly (2" past my "abs"(it's called padding ladies:) )) . I ordered a 40x32. They're quite loose. So im now ordering a 38x32 and they are loose n not constricting.Now. I really wish these came in a 38x34. Because then they would be perfect while i have knee pads on. As it stands i have a 34" inseam but these 'bag out ' enough with the 38x32. So an excellent purchase thus far. No rips and tears, through my job with general construction.
